Not the point of the video, but I really like the crop at 7:50. The bushes are out of focus, so in my mind clearly meant just as a framing device for the plane. Cropping in preserves that effect while giving the appropriate amount of space to your (quite small!) subject. Just my two cents!
I love the color grading of this video. How can you do this? Or can you point me to the right direction? Sorry im a noob, just bought my Fuji XT1 a week ago
Man this felt so artificial/fake. Clearly reacting to edits already made. Just made this whole vid seem a bit forced, especially with the rediculous amount of recipes presented. Just my 2 cents
When I bought my x100v as edc one of the advantages for me was not having to chose between lenses. This however has now changed to chose what filmsim. And there are more sims than lenses (in my possession). So one ‘problem’ replaced by another 🙈. So I use max. 3 sims and forget about the rest 🥳.
Haha yeah it’s hard to choose sometimes. My go-to choices are generally Astia, Classic Chrome & Acros. I’m only starting to get to grips with the look that Classic Negative can create!
I think the real challenge is what to choose to be on the camera and what to choose in advance while taking photos. Doing it after the fact is a totally different process
7:02 Kentmore Pan 400 has been my favorite B&W film sim and your Salted Slate recipe is peaking my interest! Very good job with that one! It should be said, your naming convention is an art form on its own! Cheers from USA
@@rossandhisjpegs What do you think of the GFX cameras? There is a thought to move away from cropped cameras towards a larger sensor, but don't want to move away from Fuji)
@@dimabiserI’d love to give one a go but I can’t see myself ever buying one. I need a camera that’s fairly small, compact and fast. Moving to medium format I reckon would be too big of a jump up. I sold my X-H2s for the full frame S5IIX because I missed full frame for professional work! What about you?
@@rossandhisjpegs Thanks for the reply! It's hard to disagree with you. GFX are very large and slow cameras, and that's what keeps me from buying one. And GF autofocus lenses are very expensive. In general, I am not a professional photographer, it's a hobby for me, maybe I will decide to make the switch. I am also attracted to Nikon ZF, but I understand that I will miss fuji recipes and these colors)
Hey! You’re welcome. All Fujifilm cameras have Film Simulations built into the camera as these are the Fujifilm ‘picture profiles’. The newer cameras have more Film Sims than the older models and more settings that you can adjust to create recipes. Hope that answers your question!
