This is how I clean designer handbags

I keep my pens & lipstick in a ziplock bag. I also throw my keys in the same ziplock bag. 😀

If you can’t remove imperfections you can always Re dye the leather!

Awesome video.I find a lot of Coach bags and wallets at local Goodwill outlet bins all the time and they are often nasty and have ink stains.Only thing I haven’t been able to get out is cigarette smoke if anyone has a way to remove cigarette smoke please let me know

Try putting the purse in a plastic bag with dried corn husks used to make tamales. Furriers use them to remove odor. Find them in the Mexican section of the grocery store.

Wonderful that you can save these bags that have a lot of life in them still. Maybe with the black one it was dye that you saw in the water? You mentioned you didn't do anything to the white purse's interior...do you disinfect it somehow, with Lysol wipes?

I'm a new reseller and your videos have been so helpful to me. I do have one question, though. How do you determine the method to clean the purses..immersing -vs- leather cleaner, etc. I have a few to start cleaning, but not sure about that part. TY!

Thank you so much! I’m glad I’m helping you! As far as the purses go, it depends on how dirty they are and the fabric. The purses I got from thredUp were so bad I decided that immersion was the only way. If the purse isn’t that dirty, I will just use the spray cleaner and wipe them down. I haven’t immersed a full leather bag, although I’ve seen it done, I use leather wipes and conditioner, usually. I’m going to have to do a video on this, that’s a good question. As far as using alcohol on ink stains, is it safe to use on regular cotton fabric? Coach bags usually have a satin type fabric, but with regular fabric will it fade the fabric? Great videos btw! I just purchased some Dooney and Bourke Denim bags from Poshmark and I want to clean them properly without ruining them.

Thanks. I’ve used it on different types of fabrics. I would test a small inconspicuous spot. Put alcohol on cotton ball and just blot the ink stain. You will see the ink coming off on the cotton ball.

Seen a video where I Prada bag had ink stain drawing on it and the bag had to be restored by paint matching the color after the restorer got as much of the ink out as possible.
