@@itsolivia2723 makes sense! I used to have a hamster years ago.. but since then I once owned two female gerbils and like hamsters.. they LOOOOVE to burrow the same ways. Plus with sand lol since they are "desert rats"
@@sierrabrown5579 it’s not unnecessary, I gave my hamster 9 inches of bedding and she finally started digging. You should always have at least 5 inches of bedding, it’s a necessity for hamsters since they are burrowing animals.
@@spir yes i agree. the only real excuse you could have was if your hamster has a medical condition (and the vet specifically told you to not let them burrow), if they’re in a hospital cage, or if they’re too old.
Hi this is not a hate comment but I would recommend at least 5 inches of bedding I would also recommend putting them into different cages because they can fight each other and kill each other so I would recommend that and getting another wheel so they can all have their own wheel if you’re going to keep them in the same cage I would also not put that yellow stuff into the water because normal filtered water is fine Your hamsters are very cute🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍❤️❤️❤️❤️

I love the video but I just want to add you should probably upgrade their wheel size and add more bedding. Also if you can you may want to separate them to prevent them from fighting to the death.
I read in Google it said dwarf hamsters can be in one cage, cause in the wild they go in groups. I also heard someone said it need to be separate. So..., Can dwarf hamsters be together like in one cage? Or not?
@@bi8914 dwarf can be together as long it's from the beginning. Adding a new dwarf to a dwarf living alone older than 2 months is not recommended cuz they may fight.
Their wheel size seemed fine and also if hamsters can be housed together or not totally depends on their temperament. Most dwarf hamsters of the same genders do make peaceful housemates. Some even might fight from time to time gently but still can be housed together. My two dwarf ones always fights but the second they're separated they get visibly depressed and subdued and hence why they're still living together.
Good video, but remember to put more bedding in the cage :) And hamsters are not social animals, so maby keep them in too cages, because they will maby fight and end up with killing each other. And I will never take all bedding out, when i clean the cage, maby the half of all bedding :) (No hate) But you have very cute hamsters, and i like the video! :)
hi! I just wanted to say that its not recommended to keep drafts together because they will probably end in killing each other but if you do decide to keep drafts together you MUST have a least 2 of everything, 2 food bowls, 2 water bowls, 2 wheel, 2 hides, 2 sand baths ext (and second cage if they start fighting) also the minimum cage size for 1 hamster alone is 450 inches of floor space and for 2 it is 900 square inches of floor space. @@itsolivia2723 I’ve had 4 sets of 2 dwarf hamsters and they all lived together perfectly fine and were all happy I now have 3 dwarfs in separate cages as I am out a lot and I feel more at peace keeping them separate just in case anything happened but I have another big cage I let them all see eachother and they never fight they are all from the same litter so I would recommend for first timers and people who don’t have enough money for another cage to just get one but if u have had many hamster know how to look after them chance in getting two it’s beautiful when they work out I’ve never had a failed pair so I’m sorry that U must have had a failed pair from ur knowledge. But they can live together perfectly fine idk why ur saying they can’t because I never said it’s not unusual for them to fight

Hi! I’m sure you’ve seen the comments already and I agree but one thing that’s a different recommendation, is I would put in some more wood items for them to chew on, whimzee chew treats are nice also just things to help their teeth. A larger sized wheel maybe as well. Even though they are small their backs can curve and if you’re worried about them flying out, a enclosed wheel would be best :)

Hello I've just found your channel and I've been owning hamsters for 2 years now. I think you need more bedding up to the brim and get more hamster supplies like chew toys, more houses, etc. But I've also noticed that you over feed your hamster and that is a serious problem because the hamster could get diabetes. I reccomend 2 table spoons of food 2 or maybe 3 times a week. Thank you for reading this and I hope I helped out a bit. :)
Don't mean to be the animal police but hamsters need 5 inches of bedding minimum since they are burrow animals :) I don't know if you're housing hamsters together but that isn't recommended, unless it works for you, but still its safer to avoid doing it ;) lovely hamsters and cage!
Your hamsters are so cute!! But your cage is pretty small and you need a least 5 inches of bedding and you put 3 hamsters together and they can hurt or even kill each other. And there isn't any chews in it. And, your sand bath is SO small they need a big sand bath. And the way you pick them up is mean. You give them the claw when picking them up. Thats nothing good. You sould scoop them up with both hands. Plus the wheel is too small. I would get a bigger one
No hate, but please buy separate cages for dwarfs, as sometimes they will fight to death and die a brutal, slow death. Here are a few tips for your hamsters. -If you have multiple hamsters in a cage, which you shouldn't, BUT, if you do, give them at least 2 wheels, which I see you have done, but the wheels are way too small. -Try giving them some wood chews, so their teeth don't get overgrown. -Much, MUCH more bedding. This amount is way to little. What I do sometimes is give them a really deep end, where all of their bedding is, and where their hides are. -Everything about this was stressful for them. Please, don't do this again in the future. -Bigger cage! This is way to small for 3 dwarfs. Petco does a sale a few times a year, and you can get tanks for cheap prices. I got a 75 gallon tank for 100 dollars. Please take these into consideration.
And you can also get bins I got one for my hamster and she is happy in it she loves her deep bedding and loves hiding until her food bowl just in case she gets hungry at night lol
Your hamsters r so cute! There is a problem tho, no hate just giving info. Hamster cannot live together it's fine when they're babies but when they get older they will start to fight each other until the last one standing. With my previous hamsters (I didn't know that they can live together) they fought until the smallest one died.

I would recommend putting at least 6 to 10 inches of bedding in the cage. Also I don’t see any chews known as chew toys hamsters NEED THEM ! Their teeth won’t stop growing so that files them down. Also don’t put the hamsters in the same cage. Also what are they drinking? Is that yellow water? Idk and don’t just give them mainly sunflower seeds they will get picky and only eat the sunflower seeds.

i loved it but i recomend to get a big bin cage and five inches of bedding so they can burrow also putting alittle bit of there old bedding back in so they are familar with the smell and they dont get stressed out!!

1.U need WAY more bedding for them to burrow about 6 inches is good 2.it’s better to get them in a separate cage bc of worst they can kill each other 3.u should clean their cage 2-3 days just to get their waste out 4.about ever 2-4 weeks take only HALF of the bedding out and half of new bedding
@Hamster DIY i know you have a proper sized cage but hamsters need atleast 10-15cm of bedding And the wheel must be atleast 19-20cm if yur in sg i recomend the liliphut hamster wheel its good for all hammies but some syrians are too big for it and need bigger but u have dwarf hamsters so yeh

I know like why cant people do their research? the wheel is too small the cage is too small, way too may sunflower seeds, not enough bedding, they used dust not sand, the water is yellow but that might just be the bottle, they have not 1 not 2 but 3 hamsters together which is bad enough to have 2. Just an adivise you should not completely sanitize your hamster cage bcuz it will loose the smell of hamster in it which might make hamster not to recognise their cage Also it was once experimented that when you completely remove their smell from their cage and put the hamster back their heartbeat is so fast and it took them 1 hour to relax the hamster
Please pick your hamster up differently, it’s painful and stressful for them (you can see the eyes are closed they’re in pain) and it’s really painful when someone hugs you too tight, that’s what these hamsters feel right now.
Do u have all these hamsters in the same cage? they can fight same litter or not don’t take that chance separate them! If u feel the absolute need to keep them together u need 1 of everything for EACH hamster so if u have 3 hamsters u need 3 wheels 3 hides 3 food dishes 3 water bottles that will minimize the chance of fighting
cute hamsters i do recommend a bigger wheel and some more bedding also hamsters should not be caged together with other hamsters so i would get other enclosures for the other hamsters
Please don't pick up your hamster in a claw type of motion, to them it's as if a great big hawk swooped down and plucked them off the ground. Instead, try cupping them with two hands. The cage is too small, and the bedding isn't deep enough. Also, if they're trying to hide or sleep, please leave them be. It's what they would rather do. As well as some chews (They NEED to chew) and a bigger wheel. Cute hammies though!
um just a couple of things 1 i would not put more then 1 hamster in 1 cage even if they are dwarfs 2 if you have 3 dwarfs you need 3 of everything , 3 wheels , at least 6 hides 2 for each hammy but other than that good job
@HamsterDIY i think you should have more Different kind of hamster food mixes there are many different kinds of hamster food mixes in pet lovers if you're from Singapore Maybe you can try the green happi hamster mix because its worked magnificently on my hamsters
Hi, your hamsters are very cute, but I can tell that they are not living a happy life! Here are some tips that might save them; 1. Please get them all individual cages!! Hamsters are solitary animals that need to live alone! Make sure all of the cages are at least 460 sq. Inches and I recommend one without bars because it lowers their chances of escaping. 2. When getting them all separate wheels, make sure to get them all 11 inch wheels!! Those wheels seemed way too small! 3. You need way more bedding than that!! Bedding should be at least 6-8 inches deep MINIMUM!! Hamsters are natural burrowers and they need a lot more bedding! 4. Their food is far too unhealthy. That is a lot of nuts and although nuts are food for hamsters, you should not feed them a nut everyday!! Nuts are more like treats and should not be an everyday diet. 5. Please make sure they don’t share the same water!! That can cause bacteria and when one hamster is sick, all of the hamsters will get sick!! 6. Do NOT hold your hamsters like that! You will be farther and farther away from being close to your hamster if you do that! You either let it come to you, or use a cup or another object to pick it up. 7. You need a lot more enrichment for them! They need different substitutes and texture! They also need branches and enrichment like that! 8. CHEW TOYS!! You need chew toys or there’s a high chance your hamsters teeth might overgrow! 9. PLAYPEN!! Instead of putting them in another empty cage, please put it in a playpen and fill it up, so it doesn’t look empty and the hamster doesn’t get scared. 10. Do not clean your hamsters full cage out weekly! Only clean their pee and ceramic homes! Believe it or not, cleaning out all of their poop every week can stress them out extremely! They use their poop to mark their territory and it comforts them. If they always smell a scent that’s not theirs, they will get very stressed. 11. I do not recommend a second floor.. hamsters are animals that need to stay on the ground. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE GETTING A HAMSTER AND IF YOU CANT AFFORD SOME OF THE NECESSARY MATERIALS, PLEASE DON’T GET A HAMSTER! THEY DESERVE A GOOD LIFE! Please get a bigger cage. Hamsters need at least 620 square inches of floor space with at least a 6 inch wheel ( recommend bigger) and at least 6 inches of bedding. You also need to put more toys in the cage. Just because a hamster is small with a short lifespan doesn’t mean it can be treated like this 😭 Please don’t keep dwarfs together either or they can fight to death. Also the cage looks filthy. You need to spot clean every second day and fully clean once every 6 months. And what on Earth was in that water bottle!!! Hellow I was watching this and I noticed a lot of fings you should add a bit more bedding so they can burrow ,mabey you can add some tunnels and some in Richmont and it is recommended to not have hamsters in groups because they could end up killing each other and mabey a bigger cage aspesualy with how much hamsters you are keeping in their by the way I am not saying you are a bad pet owner I am trying to help hope you read this
