Your bunnies are so spoiled! I would LOVE to have a setup like this for my buns. We have three that are caged and we need to let them out to play separately or they will fight like crazy. I love your cage/room setup. Your rabbits are crazy lucky to have you own or foster them (or should I say to have them own YOU).
so i might get a rabbit and all iv been doing was looking up everything about rabbits. this video is super helpful and thanks so much for posting these videos!!!!!
Looks great as always! I use lint rollers on the guinea pig cages, saves so much hair from ending in up the washing machine or floating around the house!
I love watching your videos, i actually wanted a rabbit for a really long time and i had kind of talked my mom into it so i started doing research and your videos are what i used the most they helped a lot and recently i got my bunny and a lot of the tips you gave have helped me, Thank's!
Ooooh! As im watching the video i was thinking, if you have a worm / compost bin the waste your rabbits made - be it hay or poop - i bet they'll turn into lovely fertilizer :) which can be used to grow veggies and... you know how it goes ^^
I haven't timed myself but just the cage i would say like, 15min as I have cleaned the whole room in 30 min... Normally the whole thing takes an hour if I spend a lot of time decorating. haha!
Stomping is called Thumping. It is how rabbits alert other rabbits that their is danger. Rabbits will do it for tons of different reasons though. If they are mad, if they hear a strange noise, or see something their scared of. Probably just isn't used to his surroundings yet.
I got it at TJ maxx (which is just a store that sells stuff from other stores at a cheaper price.) You can find them at Pretty much any store that sells bathroom supplies or rugs. Like Walmart.
Vinegar is a all natural completely safe cleaner that helps get rid of urine smells which can cause the bunny to urinate in the same spot over and over again. The don't really like the smell of it so people will use it to make them stop chewing but the smell after you spray it goes away shortly after wards. :)
Love thus video so much ! I believe and treat my pets like their my children aha I love them so much Iv fosters rabbits before so I know how much work they are congrats on being such an awesome mom ! Ps I think we're about the same age too and do you think you will always be a rabbit owner ? Are they your favorite animal to keep as pets ?
Where did you get your cage/or what did you make it form? I love these video they are interesting and they answer all my questions. Thank you so much for posting videos. Anyways I would be super happy if could tell me where you got your cage :) thanks sooo much.
Love this video! :) Would love to see the other videoes about cleaning. Everytime I watch your videoes, it reminds me how much I HATE having my two girls outside.. Sigh. I really love the litterboxes! How high are they? I haven't seen anyone like that here in Denmark. The ones I have now are only 6 cm high, and the girls can't "find" the edge of it, so they always sit with the bum outside the litterbox -.- It's frustrating. Just ordered some that are 12 cm high, so I hope that helps!
Rabbits have sent glands under their chins and when they rub their chins on things it means they "own it". A dominant rabbit would do that to the other rabbit.
It is possible to bond any rabbits together as long as they are fixed. I would go to your local shelter that has rabbits and let your bunny "pick out" its friend by seeing which one he gets a long with best.
This is just a tip but rabbits develop sore hocks not only from wire floors(if not proper support then their ok) but also solid wood, tile and linoleum floorings. So it might be better if you added something by there litter box. If they develop sore hocks you can put original neosporin (original not plus) on their hocks and you could also wrap them. Just a tip to help you out. Sore hocks happen to everyone, breeders and pet owners:)
Wow what an amazing cage bet your rabbits get a good life but how do they not jump out do you flip over the square grids as a roof great rabbits that's so cute
It's not vital to change the layout but it makes your rabbits happier and keeps them interested when you change the set up or add new toys every once in a while.
I learned the hard was as I got into the cage while I thought bun was sleeping to pick up a few poops and he lunged and bit me on the arm!! :-O Lesson learned. Oh my goodness. lol
Rabbits don't need it. Only if they have bad hocks like mine do. just give them one soft spot for him/her to sit in their cage and s/he should be fine. Some old blankets, towels, or T-shirts would work.
What is the reason you can't have them inside? My litter boxes are 9inches (22 cm) tall in the back and 5inches (12cm) tall in the front. I find that if my litter boxes are any shorter then 9 inches I would have a lot of pee shooting over the edge as I still get some from time to time.
Tell your parents at all of the health benefits once your rabbit is fixed. Females have 85% of developing reproducing cancer by the age of two and the chance increases with age! Also once your rabbit is fixed its urine wont smell as bad and it is WAY easier to litter train so there should be no problem for her to be inside then!
hi I've heard that getting rabbits nurtured/spayed helps alot with aggressiveness and territory issues, your rabbits seem to be really well behaved, are they spayed? and do you recommend spaying or nurturing pet rabbits?
Hi 101 Rabbits, one of my rabbits is also developing sore hocks even though she has soft flooring. I was wondering where did you get the memory foam pads you show here? thanks!!
How do you prevent your rabbits from jumping out of their pen? My rabbits pen fence is very tall, and she's still able to jump over it. I don't want her to escape but she's a very large rabbit, what should I do!
Hey 101 rabbits!! Please tell me when I should nuter or spay my rabbit I mean what age. I really love you videos and what age I should do it is the only question I have left otherwise I'm totally prepared to get my new bunny!!! :)
thank you your information helped were do you learn you facts about your rabbits and i have one boy rabbit and im thinking of building a nic cage for him thanks so much
My boyfriend is allergic to just about EVERYTHING.. Hay is one of the things that are very bad. We live in a very small house, so there isn't any place the rabbits could have their hay, without him being too close to it. i've had rabbits for about 9years and they lived inside with me freerange, untill I moved away from my mom 3years ago. He doesn't react to the bunnies themself though, so they will be moving inside as soon as we can afford to move in to something bigger. I can't wait :)
