Oh! Rocky is shedding like crazy right now and nothing seems to be working! I think I will try our Furminator on him (we have it for the dogs) and see if that helps!
This was very helpful! Every time i try to brush my rabbit i don't get a lot of fur, and my netherlands dwarf sheds a ton! I couldn't ever find a good brush, but know i know which brush to choose!
Hi! I am a big big fan of yours and you've really helped me on how to take care of my future pet. I am getting 2 baby bunnies very soon! I have been watching your channel very much! I find it very helpful! See, you used a brush that's actually for horses and as I see it,it very HARMLESS! I would really like to know where I can get that! Thank you!
Great video and lots of informative tips! Does it matter that I don't groom my rabbits? I might start doing the tips that you said in this video, but for three years, my two mini-rex rabbits, Harley and Rex have never been brushed or anything. They go to the vet to get their claws clipped, but I'm thinking about starting to do it. I do the thing where you kind of use your hands to pull off any fur, but does it matter that I don't brush then?
The best tool I have found for grooming rabbits it a horse grooming block. It gets all of the dead hair out and rabbits seem to really like it. They also last FOREVER. I have used mine on 30+ rabbits multiple times per month for 5 years and it is still in great shape. When brushing a rabbit you do not want to brush the back very much. It genereally does not need it as much and can make the coat in bad condition. The best way to remove the hair from your hands is to just rub them together. You do not need any water. The hair will form a rope and will come right off. When you wet your hands to groom a rabbit you want them to only be slightly damp. You had WAY to much water on your hands. I like to spray my hands from a fine mist squirt bottle 1-2 times and that is all that is needed.
I have a brush that has 2 sides one side is a bit like a broom only (of course) smaller, kinda like a toilet scrubber and the other side is like the one you said was bad for them (the metal one). If that okay to use? I got it from a kind rabbit breeder that bred rabbits for 15 years and she said it was great to use.
i have 2 rabbits[coaly]and][andy] you helped my rabbits and me thank you i woched all youer videos YOU ARE ASOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video!!!! I have some questions. How often do you have to groom your rabbit if they're a really furry rabbit? Also how long do molts last? Thanks!
Any tips on grooming a rabbits stomach/feet/legs?? One of my rabbits is what I believe to be a fuzzy lop or some type of mix, I adopted her when she was relinquished at a veterinary clinic that didn't usually deal with rabbits and they told me they thought she was an angora but I doubt it and my current vet said she wasn't lol But she has very long hair that seems to mat all of the time :( I usually just clip of her hair kinda like you would do an angora rabbit but her feet and her stomach are always hard to get to. She does love her haircuts tho and usually lays down once she knows she is getting her "fur coat" taken off for summer lol
I love it when bunnies jump onto your back XD They're such cutie derps :P My rabbits don't like being held (like most) and they don't enjoy being pet either so how can I get my bunnies brushed without them getting too scared?
It came in a subscription box in the mail so I don't think you can buy it. You can buy rubber brushes similar to this in the dog section at pet stores.
101rabbits okay thank u so much i have another question sorry to bother but are u going to sell the hayracms u made for ur rabbits on ur esty store i would love to buy one if u are
Zenta Kay depends on the breed- a dog with naturally a lot of fur like a golden retriever sheds a lot but other dogs like poodles don't shed at all. With bunnies I think they all shed but the more fur it naturally looks like they have the more they will shed- and I'm a dog person (with a bunny) so idk about cats
Hi Hayley! I have a problem with my rabbit. She often sits in her litter box which is full of urine, and after a few months of getting her, all her fur on the bottom is clumped, dry, and sticks out. I don't know what to do, and I wonder if there is a way to solve this problem.
Some rabbits like to sleep in their litter box. Make sure you provide lots of other cozy places to sleep and hidey houses for her to sleep in. Keep the litter box clean and top it off with some fresh hay on top a few times a day to make sure most of it is mostly dry hay she’s sitting on.
Hi 101rabbits! I was asking whether u could teach me how to carry my rabbit becos my rabbit doesnt allow anybody to carry her. My father and I tried to carry her but she just either scratch or jump away. So can u teach me how to make her calm down and carry her?
I have that exact same wire brush for my cat. She goes crazy for it whenever we pull it out. She loves pushing her head up against it to scratch her head. It always makes me cringe because it just looks so painful, but she loves it.
so i have a fuzzy lop ...should i do the water part with him he gets matted easily i know how to bush him properly but i would like to try the water way.... can somebunny pls help me
