I own an electric wire stripper but sometimes that little stuff just doesn't work out well in it. I've seen people build little contraptions to do this but ur idea is by far the best! Now I gotta try it...freakin flaring tool...I barely ever use it so now I'll be able to put it to good use!
😂😂... It's really nice to see that my video helped someone else... I have to admit that wasn't my idea ( fun fact is that I use almost everyday that tool because of my work nature) I was looking for a solution through RU-vid and when I saw that use of the tool I almost felt embarrassing because I didn't thought since from the beginning... 😂🤣... Glad I could help buddy...isn't the fastest way but it works fine 👍
Awesome wire stripper method. I use a little hand held device that strips wire similar to how you're doing it. Mine is a really cheap version. I've got to get an Automated Stripper. Wire is like aluminum my world. And I get a lot of small wire. Great video.
I did something similar, but I used a piece of dressed timber which I drilled holes to suit the wire size I regularly stripped. I drilled another 3mm hole to intersect each of these holes in the centre and screwed a timber screw through it. I set this up in the vice and pull the cables through the holes as you did. The screw could be adjusted at will to pierce the insulation before pulling the cable through. So with the one block of wood I could strip cable from 1.5mm through to 16mm. If I needed to go bigger I could drill another hole and screw and way you go. I used this method for 2 years until I had so much cable built up I had to buy a machine. Which, by the way, was a really worthwhile purchase. Paid for itself in 3 days. Great video, thank you.
I thought many times to buy a machine... but I don't get a lot of wires and the most of them are stranded wires.... I don't know if the machine will handle those... Thank you for watching buddy😁👍
If you search in internet you will find a lot of different types.... they are pretty cheap now.... Make a little search and you will understand😉. Thank you my friend😁
This is a tool for making flare to the copper pipes my friend. If you google "flare tool" you will find many of them.... If you will buy one I will recommend you to buy a cheap one. You don't need something expensive 😁👍

Welll....where I'm from, all the metal types are 'graded' for scrap..... the 'plated' wire isn't worth as much as 'bright' copper... and you have to be 'very careful' about co-ax....there are many types of wire used....plated/tinned copper, but it might also be aluminum, or even 'copper clad' steel... (which is next to worthless, unless you have a ton)... but my 2 cents is that you worked pretty hard for that 3.5kg....just saying...
Here my friend we have only two grades of copper... No1=6.60€/kg....No2=6.10€/kg.....what you see here is no2.... Witch is around 22€ in total.... and if you thought that the average day payment here is 30€/8hours .... I will say that isn't very bad.
