Good tips and info here. I’ve definitely noticed a huge difference in my hill stamina and ability by allowing that little “heel kiss”. Really saves the calves and recovery is way quicker.

I might check out the mobile app, but I have to tell you that I have watched so much Running Experience that you are already in my head. I also like to listen for the scuff and slap of my feet. You taught me that. That running awareness helps.

Good for working on cadence! Make sure to jump rope barefoot it will increase the gain from it!

Hey, I've done that routine many times, talking to others in 11 minutes what to do, doing nothing myself, go and run yourself that hill misses

You want to hold your effort/sprint for the full length of time (either 15 seconds or the full minute).

Yep depends on workout but start with something runnable 5-8%. Length will depend on your workout! In this one, the longest you'll go UP for at any one time is 1 minute.

You're sprinting the wrong way and it's easier to recover back up the hill.

I have the perfect place I've been using for the past year and a half for my two mile. I call the big hill El Capitan and the little steep hill El Capitan revenge.

Ok just did my first ever hill repeats. Luckily living in Switzerland makes it easy finding a hill right on your door step. Thanks for the great video. Would have loved to „take you with me“ via head phones and app, but I never run with my phone and your app does unfortunately not run on the Apple Watch 😔 (unless I missed something). Thanks guys.

Stupid question, how does one measure the gradient of a hill and know it's between 5 & 8? #seriousquestion

Good question! If it's something you can run up continuously (vs being forced into a walk a few seconds in), then it's probably the right incline.
