The first took about 3 or so hours I think. It was easier cause it had less pockets. Took a while and now I do these 2 hours each. Took a few years to get that quick 😆

Yes, you can if you cut out the top corners too. Then you would attach the zipper without tabs and then match the top corners like the bottom. You would have to fold in the tips of the zipper so it doesn't come off and seal off the other end as well. Or add tabs and match the center to those when sealing it like the bottom of the bag.

I don't use the industrial for regular cotton. It's for vinyl and canvas and thick stuff

Trying to start a side business, if you dont mind, what do you charge approximately per bag?

Bags can be different prices for different sizes and styles. These ones start at $70 each. When I start adding more to it then I charge a bit more. Vinyl and mix bags depending on size I start at $80. But I have done some at $50. So I suppose it depends. I'd say your supplies and time should be the biggest factor in making and selling.
