How I converted Mudrunner into Snowrunner with 50+ mods

Snowrunner is successor to Mudrunner, It bring a lot of new trucks, new cargo types, trailer and other features but what if we could bring all those things to Mudrunner. In this video I installed 50+ mods in mudrunner to make it look closer to Snowrunner.

It took a weak TBH not only it was a lot of work but when I installed all those mods in game...The game was taking like 30 seconds to load garage items as well as it take time after each addon, bumper, trailer, items installation....On top of that these mods have no bumper, snorkel, etc installed when they spawn...so I have to install all that stuff with the delays I mentioned above...It was really frustrating but I am surprised that mudrunner engine can do all this

With Mudrunner having more true-to-life vehicle visuals, it feels strange to import SR's "legally distinct" vehicle designs into MR, especially with the Atdega mod that makes vehicle grilles correct to real-life. Maybe if this mod used the real-life versions of SR's vehicles instead? That would be a lot of work though, I admit.

Honestly I fired up snowrunner for the first time in like a year, and it felt a lot better, still doesn't feel like mudrunner, but its much, much better. The wheels aren't hovering over terrain anymore, it even feels like the trucks have more weight to them. I need to do a full unmodded snowrunner playthrough. The biggest thing I hate about snowrunner is the fake ass looking tires and lack of mud sticking to the wheels. How a modder hasn't added back mud sticking from mudrunner is beyond me.

This video really shows you how much better the horns are in Snowrunner, these mods all have the same 3 horns. Also as a console player, I despise Mudrunner. They never did it any justice

It turned out to be very plausible, but you forgot about the main vehicle and this is a garage. Let me explain: in Mudrunner, a very simplified garage, you can only put an addon there and that’s it (you can’t change the color of a car or truck, you can’t decarate the interior, you can’t change wheels, etc.) I’m silent about the variety of cargo (and no replacement of the cargo packaging texture is not considered) also, as far as I remember, Mudrunner was limited by the map (namely, the fact that each map goes separately and you can’t, for example, move the car from one location to another) I’m all I'm saying that it's impossible to 100 percent turn a Mudrunner into a Snowrunner

Of-course... It's impossible but you know almost all SR trucks and most of their addons can work in MR as mods also these mods even drive similiar to SR trucks but How many MR trucks get ported to SR with their addons plus how many of such trucks work as they were in MR...I don't think there are much...MR with all its limitations get the fundamental rights while SR being a bigger game can't

@@SD1ONE Oh, it's a pity that you can't transfer this chip with a garage from SR to MR and connect several cards with purely tunnel transitions, as in Cp. It's just that the MR has very realistic damage and suspension physics than the SR, but at the same time, the SR has more content (much more)

Mudrunners Garage its so much better then Snowrunner! Cuz in Snowrunner you have only one campaign. The quests goes in bored grinding. Mudrunner have with every map a new short campaign and with ervery map you can try another difficult. The maps are smaller but much more intensive. The long boring streets in Snowrunner are boring and have no challenging parts about far meters 😂 and in Mudrunner you cant reset big trucks to garage. So you can sliding in a Game Over into a map. The trucks are more massive and more dirty. That means Mudrunner YeaH! you are fighting against the world. In Snowrunner you are driving for bad Video sequences and the money. Snowrunner is soft washed for mainstream. And in end: Mudrunner Trucks are always strong. In SR are the trucks to weak to driving a mountain up

What difference does it make what the name of the cargo is? The snowrunner has a small, medium, and large cargo plus trailers. All the same types of cargo are in the Mudrunner, only these are logs. The gameplay does not change from the name of the cargo that you carry from point A to point B. But the simplified physics model affects your gameplay every second.

For me it's the authentic feel to trucks, the way they drive and the region specific addons...It sells me that feel that what you doing might be actually done in real life in some part of globe....In SR it felt like a game and objectives and tasks are repeatative, basically it's quantity over quality in my opinion and also SR has little pay to win thing going on with paid dlc trucks like mastodon.

@@SD1ONE With the same camera settings in Mudrunner, trucks look more impressive. In SR, the Don region made me laugh. I live in this place, there are no mountains or forests, only a flat field. Landscapes from MR can be seen on real videos where this technique is applied. Plus, suspension physics in MR works more realistically.

1:10 Its a long shot but the Azov 5319 unfortunately has and is able to be damaged right? Can't test it myself so I gotta rely on pc users 0:52, 3:15 This is the frame flex I was talking about. Glad to see it being shown that SR has some as there is misconceptions about it

Not sure what you're talking about in first point...I think you did a typo About second point...yes I showed it here as people pointed out in MR video that bandit can flex and bandit has MR level flexing... so basically it's possible to implement flexing in SR... don't know why they didn't do it for some other trucks..I mean not as much as bandit but a little flex should've been there...kraz for example can't even have DAN like flex...

@@SD1ONE If you ram the 5319 into a tree in SR, it doesn't take engine damage. Does the 5319 MR mod have the same quality, or does it take damage upon ramming anything. Quite a few trucks do flex, it just has to have some weight out onto it. Generally the kolobs, p12, Antarctic, and any other really thick vehicle chassis doesn't flex to the same degree as a less heavy vehicle.

I asked the same to some modders I know but they said that coding in SR is different so MR stuff is hard to get working correctly in SR.... Although There're ST or MR trucks mods available for SR but they do not drive the same as MR.... anyway I did make a video on those mods and compared them in all 3 games as well...

I liked idea of converting Mudrunner into Snowrunner just by curiosity, but I am dissapointed of this video. Only true conversions were graphic mod and snow mod, nothing else except the trucks. Gameplay, rules and everyting else is the same as in base game, that's nothing special, no really conversion

So, What were you expecting really....Gameplay can't be altered by modders Its upto devs...Modders did the best they can do plus not only trucks but trailers, addons even some SR style cargo is working even if as logs...Also the trucks handles almost similar to Snowrunner which as of now couldnn't be acheived in SR with MR trucks BTW.

yeah.... apparently there's a mod called "atdega mod" that improves it although some people like that dull gritty atmosphere.... anyway I did made a video on adega mod if you have any doubts.... definitely try that if you're on PC

No i do not think they have to put Mudrunnner in to SnowRunner!!! SnowRunner and MudRunner and Spintires are not the same games. They all have different feel. I wish shey would be updated and going separately.

I don't like this. If I want Snowrunner trucks, I go play Snowrunner. Mudrunner has its own style and fleet, it's kinda authentic. You can't turn MR into SR with just adding a miriad of SR trucks there.

To be fair mudrunner can seem gloomy at times, even when weather conditions are clear. It adds a bit of vibrancy and makes the game feel more alive than dead
