I love your methods and hair positivity. As a tight spiral hair type, I feel like our hair is plant-like- it springs forth from our head, reaching for the sun when short, hanging like vines when longer, it loves water, loves moisture, and it spirals tightly to protect itself. It even interlocks sometimes for added strength, and I love any reminder to be gentle with it. We and our hair deserve us showing ourselves that gentleness and care. Random aside- some song I heard said 'Strands may break alone, but twisted make a braid, shivering alone, but joined are unafraid' (Darren Korb?). I think of it everytime I do my hair. In loving my hair, I feel like I accept and am coming to love myself. And I feel like that brings me closer to my early, early forebearers who grew up being told they were the norm, and their hair and personage were lovely to behold. Wishing everyone safety and love ❤
