Great Video. All the things I do. I love Maggie’s patterns. I did Summer in my Garden but added a very primitive Sue Spargo twist and added beads and embellished stitches and just love how it turned out. I’m currently cutting out Tavern House. I think I need a large piece of the Tobacco colored wool for the background. I met her at some show and she is the nicest but shy lady. It was a joy to talk with her and work on wool which besides needle turn applique is my love.

So fun!!! Last fall I went toMaggie’s shop, but I’ve also taken a couple classes from her. She’s a very creative person, I love her patterns!!

@@saltboxstitcher I would love to visit both Sue Spargo’s and Maggie’s shop. BTW, I love your samplers. I started out as a cross stitcher and then switch to quilting and never went back. After watching floss tube I decided to make 2 Plum Street Sampler patterns but found that I just could not see to stitch on 36 ct linen. Sad. So they sit there and they are so cute. BUt I can applique a large quilt in the time it takes to complete a cross stitched sampler.

Thanks for this. I’ve done wool appliqué before but have used Valdani threads or floss. My teacher also has us put something on the back of our backing. I always call it the wrong thing so I won’t say but it fuses to the wool and stabilizes it. My kit arrived today. Overly packaging. Thanks for pushing me over the cliff. Haha just kidding, you’re awesome and not an Eyeore,

Thank you for the tutorial and your tips on wool applique. This is something I have been wanting to try and I have a couple small kits to start on. My aunt actually just sent me a few of her patterns as she is cleaning out and downsizing. She and some of her quilt friends stopped at Maggie's shop the last time she came up here to Kansas City. I also have some of the applique pieces my aunt has done as well. Some of Maggie's and some of Jan Patek's, who as you probably know if also local here. Thanks again I found your tips very helpful before I plunge in to the applique rabbit hole!

Hi. Super tutorial on how to do wool appliqué Maggie’s way. I have been doing wool appliqué for about 10 years, but I learned in a class with Lisa Bongean. Her technique is quite different.
