omfg I’m black and I think it’s bs yall saying she shouldn’t do edges , it’s hypocritical, if she can’t do edges then we cant straighten our hair since it’s a predominately cacusian feature . Edit: Erm didn’t expect this many likes. To clear it up , the vid is 2 years old, at the time people were commenting about her edges. She must of deleted the hate. So yh people were being rude in the comments before and I simply responded. Stop saying no one said that because they did.
I hate that ppl are like “it’s our thing not yours you need to stop” like sis I’m white as hell I could do my edges better than half the Mexican/black girls at my school
People complaining in the comments should visit my school😂😂😂 we got Asian, Mexican, white you name it doing their edges and there isn’t nunnnn wrong w it
Same bruh like on a year ain’t nobody gon care bout what they be doin wit they hair so they should stop buggin and start “sharing” they stuff wit us sus
I know this has nothing to do with the video but I thought that I should share it. This Caucasian women walked up to me and tapped my shoulder. Mind you I have on headphones listening to music. I took out my head phones and gave her a quick head nod (giving her the right away to speak) and put my phone in my pocket. This lady says, "is that a wig because black people don't have really long hair!" I said, "no ma'am this is NOT a wig. Its my natural hair." she said, "PROVE IT!!" I said, "ok" and took out my ponytail shaking my hair out. She was shook because my hair was thicker and longer than hers. Just a quick little story time. And also love the video. P.S, my hair is curly but I got a Dominican press
Any race can do edges that really isn’t a strictly black things if you have baby hairs you can do Edges. Not a lot of white people have baby hairs and not all black people some native Americans have baby hairs some don’t. But any race with baby hairs can do they edges
lemme just make a public service announcement real quick ... DOING EDGES IS NOT ONLY FOR BLACK PEOPLE‼️im black myself but just because she does her hair a certain way don't mean she wanna "be like us" , don't get my wrong , we poppin n everything but that don't mean she wanna be us . point blank period . *im not african i'm jamaican *
Jasmine Brown I’m Jamaican too girl and we originated from Africa the only difference from african Americans and Jamaicans is that the slaves were dropped off in the Caribbean instead of America. U are african honey 🤷🏾♀️
I know I'm hella late to this video but, as a African american myself, look up the history before you type. I see where y'all are coming from and hell, I also agree. Everyone has edges and anyone can do edges. Some black folks just feel offended because they invented doing this type of stuff, basically only for them so they can express the culture. So basically see other doing this triggers them thing y'all "stole" their culture. Which I don't think you guys are doing unless you bash us and take it as your own. For example like saying "White people made edges first" ( don't get offended, in proving a point) then I would get mad. Though its just hair at the end of the day so let's leave it at that. Also their is no such thing as acting black. Its called an accent, plus with the people they hang out with or watch they sort of pick up the way they talk or act. Like when you go to England and stay for while you pick up a accent. Hope that cleared things up. If I offended you in anyway sorry but this is just the way I see it. And also you keep saying those edges girl ;)
Beezitz you are so completely right, and I don’t know why no one’s told you so, because this comment was amazing and I completely agree with it. (Omg hold up, I sound like a teacher 😂😂😂✨)
I agree with u but at the same time I think It shouldn’t be bashed as a Latin slaying edges when my ancestors also slayed edges I’m not saying your bashing because u are very humble ❤️
i agree with you to some degree it’s just that black people aren’t the only ones who have history of doing edges, so many other cultures do including my own but i find that people from my culture tend to not do it because they get attacked by the black community, like nobody believes us or other cultures who do edges when we say it’s a part of our history as well so seeing some (not all) black people constantly claim to have invented it and not allowing anyone else to do it makes me upset .
I am Mexican and growing up my momma used to slay my older sis edges and In Mexico girls love sleek bun with their edges laid but I haven't been to Mexico in 9 yrs
Lol these girls are salty over hair? White girls can rock it, latinas can rock it, black girls can rock it, anyone can rock it. It's HAAAIR okay. Life goes on! 😊
Well actually no latinas and white people have a hair texture to not really need edges unlike us black people have a much better hair style that needs it more @ me If u want sis but you gonna be incorrect
I go to a school where literally any race does their edges and never in my life have I heard someone say that it’s freaking OFFENSIVE? Like how? It’s edges. And I go to a majority black school so...Y’all are seriously too much 🤦🏻♀️
i’m guessing you’re white because the emoji you used & honestly you don’t know ANYTHING y’all started this shit it’s only fair to do it right back right ? lmfaoo & if you’re black / colored how can you not know about the history that happened , yes we’re ALL equal as humans but culture that’s a wholeee different story ..
First of all lets get things straight...You do not need no nationality, culture or whatever you want to call it just to do your edges, all of these racial comments state that you need a "hair texture" to do your edges??? Smh...
Since when was edges and hair from black culture????? I’m mixed and I put gel in my hair cuz if not it wouldn’t stay so WTH is wrong with this damn world??? Any body is allowed to Perm there hair, put gel, edge control ...who tf y’all people think y’all is telling people to do with there hair like good bye..STOP HATING! And gel is not permanent it washes out...her hair is completely fine...y’all haters probably just mad cuz y’all bald head with (No) edges and hoping to get sum bye 👋🏽
Jennine Rodriguez their**Damn educate your self And you're mixed !!You should at least understand Black culture ..The culture you're apart off Black girls started this wave along time ago other wraces are just tryna cop our wave everything we do they steal and make it their own it's the truth
E Coast *races not wraces and I️ mean it’s not stealing ever heard of integration ? I️ don’t personally think it’s the classiest thing when white ppl wear box braids but it’s not hurting any body and it’s not offensive bc she’s not making fun of any body by slicking down her baby hairs. Yes usually I️ see this patterned slicked back style on black women but if you really believe that one person slicking down their baby hairs is a serious attack on black culture that kind of is offensive as your saying that black culture can be destroyed and stolen by other races simply wearing what are generically “black” hairstyles. Also I️ would just like to add I’m not white or black so I am personally impartial.
@@mokonziyabacherie Hmmm idk how to feel about because I kinda think it is wrong to feel one certain race looks better doing a certain thing than other races ( unless it's cultural , edges r not )
Wow all the racist comments . Even tho I'm black y'all saying she is using "black" hair gel that doesn't work 4 her hair . First u don't have her hair u don't know what holds her hair.2nd Gel is not for a certain race just because mostly black people use gel does it mean that white people or Spanish people or mixed people can't use gel that's why it's called hair gel. It's not " Black skin color gel" DIFFERENT hair gel is for DIFFERENT hair type not DIFFERENT skin color
Wxird. TV how do you it’s just black people commenting about it and plus this girl in a different comment said Latinos made it so I’m confused people are saying black than Latinos and I’m not mad about her doing her edges because you only have one life to live so do what you want Btw: I love sims free play cuz I don’t have a computer but theirs a sims mobile in the App Store for free I play it but I wish it was a little better
No one said nothing about COLOR. there are different textures of gel for a reason. FOR DIFFERENT HAIR TYPES. THEREFORE, all races should find a specific edge control or sum after all the company knows DIFFERENT RACES have different curls or whatever. No hate tho, she did slay 😁 but plz getcho facts straight yo😂
Comment section needs to calm they asses down 😂 like ik us black people have created these styles but damn you don’t see white folks telling black ladies to stop straightening their hair. Like leave her alone !! She slays ❤️ if anything you should be happy bc she’s found us justice by lookin so cute 💘
@@victoria.2549 what did it say Edit: don't worry, I found it: "😂😂😂WE NOT MAD TF........WE WERE THE FIRST TO HAVE OUR EDGES SLAYED...why would we be mad....."
Suggestion: because ur hair is so fine u don’t need gel to get it in a ponytail that will just create more flyaways, try using hairspray. And don’t use gorilla snot for ur edges it will just clump and end up not laying down, try the purple eco style it’s an 8 hold so it should work fine.
VIBE.WIT.KULSUM ikr anyone can do there edges if they wanted to you can be white and have black ppl hair and have do braids and stuff and ppl will say you can't do that just fucking shut up now like be quit or have white ppl hair OK
Gaby Navarro blacks created the art of "laying your edges" that we did. I don't know who crackhead mama got this misconception that "Latinas" created any fucking thing , because they're wrong.
And I just wanna quickly add real quick, while I'm still concerned of the mentality of some people in this comment section. How could you possibly demand equality, and preach that we're all equal and we're all humans, we should all be able to do our own thing without mockery or being threatened, yet here everyone is listing off things you can't and can do based on your race? Isn't it childish to say "Our people were the first to do this thing, therefore other people can't," but yet you get offended if someone classifies your race as "YOUR PEOPLE!" Obviously, I find this mindset entirely invalid, and I find the "it has emotional meaning because we were mocked" completely irrelevant in this argument because I see a numerous amount of people mocking this girl for doing the same thing you do! Now before you hop on the, "you're white and privileged, you wouldn't understand," I'm actually Thai and Assyrian. Now I have three questions: First question: If you think that because a certain race does something first, therefore another race can't do it because it's "cultural appropriation", then isn't it the same thing for certain races to own an iPhone because a white man invented it, therefore it can only be a white thing? Is it hair appropriation if a person with straight hair to curl their hair? Is it gender appropriation for a man to transition into a woman and a woman to transition into a man? And before you make the irrelevant argument of "It's dIfFeReNt LoL". It's not. You're angry about other people doing something your people did first, right? So it's the same thing. Second: Exactly why do you feel so disrespected by this if you don't feel that you've disrespected a culture for something minor as well. Third: Who tf ever called edges "ratchet"? I've never heard anybody making such a comment? Anyways, I'm done. This is childish, and I'm really glad to see some maturity and understanding in this comment, rather than seeing the victim complex excuse, and some hypocritical mockery. If you're offended by this post, write an essay, have fun. If you agree then I'm honestly so glad. Anyways, I'm only annoyed at the moment, I probably won't be so irked by the time I post this and I would gladly have a debate with someone who begs to differ. If you about to start insulting someone you've never met, I will gladly bend over and allow you to kiss my ass.
So i guess if you aren't black you can't lay yo edges down like that and if u aint white u cant straighten your hair and if ur not Mexican u cant make a bun foe yo hair. I swear ppl can do what they want yes African Americans started it and obviously other races and ethnicities liked it so what big deal take yo credit and sit down sus. Also if the gel was such a big deal it clearly would have said "Only for African Americans", sorry to blow yall but African Americans aint the only ones with curly happy hair.👏 i aint racist because i aint with that shii and i aint white so don't come askin im just sayin straight faxx thass on god sus👏💯
pebbles i was saying ma opinion babygirl noo need to take it up the ass and nah i aint white im Mexican so chill and stop trynna assume fr fr u can miss me with dat shit
A lot of people be complaining ‘iT dOeSn’T wOrK” the title says ‘how I do my edges’ so that’s how SHE DOES IS and you don’t have to be black to do edges
Even though I'm of color im not understanding why all the people of color in this comment section are saying gel belongs to the African american race and saying people of no color are going to steal our style(stereotype)some people's people of no color are actually nice not all but some
I can't go a day without gel and mousse in my hair. Unless I wanna spends hours blow drying and straighten my hair. I'm not black but my hair is like 3 different types all in 1. I got Curly, Wavy, Straight but it's THICK
What’s edges? You very pretty but be careful on what gels your using on your hair because your hair is very fine , and with thicker hair , it can soak the product up and it just sit on your hair
Omg she's so cute 😘 and I like the way she does her actions when she talks she is amazing .... She's a hole mood I'm sure that u will never be bored when u next to her
All of ya people saying “oh your not black stop doing your edges” or “oh we created edges thats not for everyone “ and “oh why everyone always stealing our stuff” all of ya are just not open minded because #1 just because you not black that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to edges #2 edges should be for everyone because hey they look cute it goes nice with hairstyles and just because black people “created” edges that doesn’t mean other races shouldn’t have a right to rock them and #3 just because someone wants to lay they edges that doesn’t mean we are “stealing your stuff” you guys shouldn’t be so ticked off cause other races are laying there edges we should just be normal about it because at the end of the day it’s just an extra to a hairstyle 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
I never understood why people get mad about which ethnicity’s do which hairstyles, my step sister is black and she does my edges all the time when I put my hair up 🤷🏻♀️ it looks better to me than not having gel in your hair
LISTENNN PEOPLE!!! She does not need all that gel in her hair. Ok? She was just saying that u needed gel. Didnt you hear her?? Ohh wait u did? Ok so if you did why ya so sensitive about her saying she needed gel
Hey guys, why you beinh so harsh to White People for making their edges like Black People, i believe that they admire you for having invented somethinb so beautiful among the years. And why ar you Boeing racists noone said 'oh im not Black and im trying to steal your hairstyle "try to be equal for once, please, i support the fact that you invented it first BUT please try to be more calmed down Peace, equality,
Im asian BUT my great grandfather was living in turkey, which is nowadays named turkey, so practicly im from asia, im not Black BUT i love this kind of hairstyle BUT im feeling humilated bc some People creep into my kind, this is bullying
I swear to god, some of the people in this comment section having a mental breakdown about an Asian doing her edges. I keep seeing, “YoU’rE nOt ThIs RaCe YoU dOn’T kNoW hOw It FeElS” headasses. Like sit down, little victim.
Juliette Iniquez-Holton the lines are called cat scratches, but if you do them b careful, she probably was very careful bc hers look so good, my friend tried to do it and it was a mess lol
all yall people sayin some sorta awarded speech about how she can do whatever she wants but there aint one damn comment about her not being allowed to do her edges
Iont see a problem with her laying her baby hairs, it look cute on her. Laying baby hairs is not just a black thing, it actually started and was heavily popular amongst both black and latina girls for a long ass time now. Baby hairs grow naturally on everyone,so no one really has "claim" to them...lol. Only people I feel gelled down baby hairs looks weird on is white people only because they baby hairs really be grown ass adult hairs.
I dont get why people trip so much when other races decide to do their hair a certain way. Everyones saying this is a cultural appropriation but how is this offending the African American race? She's literally just doing her hair with gel a way that other people do it. Just cause she black don't mean shit. She obviously likes the way it looks. like straight up y'all like to start shit for no reason. Why cant we all just be as one and inspire other cultures with our unique ideas. Instead of hating other races for "stealing" your idea, why not be glad that other cultures like it and view it as pretty just like you guys do.
I understand everyone’s pov but I very much so feel where black people are coming from. We’re offended because we feel like people always hate on the things we do and the way we look but backdoor and copy it. But I don’t have a problem with people doing the things we do and having the things we have as long as they aren’t bashing it.
The Tea Sis basically people always hate on the things black ppl do but when white people do it its considered a “trend” and that pisses them off because they started it and all the sudden when white ppl do it its a trend but when they do it its considered trashy
Leilani Diaz scroll all the way up in the comments in square almost to the middle of the comments you can I can see your name highlighted in almost all of them so I do got proof I WANT YOU to check back at my proof and look what you did
Maié Right? it's like people are hellbent on doing things they think are "trendy" until they realize doing all of that on naturally straight hair is going to fuck up their head.
There's nothing wrong with her doing her edges and this goes out to everyone not just her but black people can't have shit to them selves like some things just shouldn't be done by other races like shiii i swear people stay hating and talking about black people but be the first ones to be a culture culture like damn G.....
Your going to have to declare that statement to the Mexicans that YOU have encountered , not as all because as long as I can remember , I have always done my shit slick since I was a little girl . No hate, just saying.💯
@@sierra6416That doesn't give them the right to call it their own, you're basically saying that if the first people to speak English were the Americans, other people like foreigners can't speak it because they weren't the first. They have no right to say that. If you're implying that, then you're basically racist.
