didn't know it's called "fake flash" in valorant's term. The fake flash I knew was to throw something(a pistol usually) that looks like a flash which would make the enemy turn away from it, and then you get a free kill.

I should prolly pipe down since i suck at this game, but this technique could very easily be countered and made better if they just kept track of the timings of the flash, theres prolly about a second between flash getting thrown and the actual flash, so if they timed the turn around to the few frames the flash is live, this would probably become nowhere near as good as it is, could also time you moving into the open a lil closer to when the flash goes off to make sure its still pretty effective

If the strat became really common people would learn to counterplay it, but presumably the average kay/o isn't doing this so the average player doesn't think to watch the flash to the last second (or maybe that does happen in super high ELO? I don't see this stuff in pro play...) Idk for sure i am a casual
