How I Feel About All The Languages I Speak (Creole, French, German, Spanish, English & More) 

Thanks to everybody for the lovely comments. Haiti is especially well-represented. Nou la! I don’t consider that I "speak" the last five languages, that’s why they’re in the random section. A lot of people thought I spoke Lingala tho, but no, I just listen to a lot of ndombolo 😂 I also see a lot of people commenting "her creole is better than mine". Please don’t be harsh on yourself (and your parents!). If I were raising kids in another country, there are good chances I would have stopped speaking my language out of fear that it might interfere with them learning the language of the new country. The good news is that there’s no proof that it’s bad for kids to learn two languages at the same time! Have a great day :-)

I’ve noticed there were some comments regarding her French accent while speaking creole, well growing up in Haiti and attending school, I remember lots of the kids had to speak with a French accent, most weren’t aloud to speak creole at home: regardless great job 🙏🏼🙏🏼👌👌

Ces vrai se qu'elle dit en créole quand on apprend une langue ou même quand on dit simplement quelques mots. Il est important de prendre une intonation juste afin de respecter ce ou ces personnes en face. Et surtout on apprend pas une langue pour se moquer de ces origines mais pour comprendre, apprendre la culture. Messages très important de votre part chers demoiselle 🙏🏽

The Haitian creole has a African syntax. It is of course influence by some Africans languages especially in Syntax; a little bit the same way of creolization than the Patwa but The Haitian creole is French based and the Patwa is English based. And also, the colonisation of Haiti is really different that the colonization of Quebec because you are French and European descendant in inverse at the Haitian who are a Africans descendants.

Love that she’s fluent in all these languages ppl like this are usually opened minded about other ppl cultures and respect it.....on a another note I wish all the Haitians would be as positive and impressed when Haitian-Americans try and speak Creole instead of makin in fun of them for not speaking it so well....theyre willing to teach others but not their own
