I basically do exactly what you do and my hair has grown tremendously since my 2nd big chop. Yes type 4 hair gang!! More than the first go round bc i was NOT deep conditioning, trimming or taking care of my hair under wigs. By next March, i most likely will be at your length ☺️ great video and thanks for riding for wigs bc they really are the best protective styles. I wouldn’t recommend crochet braids but clip ins are good protective styles if majority of your real hair is twisted up or braided.

I'm so glad you spoke on how type 4 hair easily knots at the ends ugh man story of my life lol. I been natural for a year already and so far I've learned the LCO method works better for me. And I used egg for the first time last week and omg instant hair growth results.
@kaylynboyd2035

Yes! I'm a type 4 as well and I couldn't figure out why my hair wasn't staying moisturized and the LCO definitely works better for me than the LOC I was doing before. Also protein was definitely a game changer for me as well

@halfricanbeaute I'm sooooo glad you're not a coconut oil freak. Coconut oil does NOT agree with my hair, but JBCO definitely does. It's moisturizing without just sitting on top of my hair strands making them really greasy. I use the Shea Moisture JBCO leave-in and my coils really like it. I really enjoyed this vid. Thanks. 💕

Great reveal! Finally, I have been on a regime since July 2017 and I am seeing results. My hair is healthy and has grown past collarbone since my You Tube photo was taken in October of 2016. My third big chop was then and a scissor happy hair dresser cut about two inches in April 2017! I too, am in love with our type 4 hair. And, I find all things about our hair amazing! Yours is vuluptuously gorgeous!

I’m 15 and what I gained is keeping your hair in the same style such as cornrows where u have access to your scalp is major key. I also don’t like wearing wigs too too much so instead I put my hair in plaits and I put faux locs on it. Take the locs off put Marley twists in, then spring twists etc. I just rubber band all my new growth to make the parts look fresh.

Sew ins grow my hair really fast as long as I don’t keep them in more than 3 weeks and take care of it in between. But I do them my self so that may be why they grow my hair so fast and I also resew it in every 2 weeks mostly.

Princess Adjele if your hair is “fine” then it’s not type 4. Type 4 hair is specifically ID’d as thick, course hair with low curl definition.
@anayotothe

@@loveballet1957 no, actually type 4, especially 4c is typically fine. It's densely packed but the strands themselves are fine which is why it's so prone to breakage
