Test fitting new 17" MVX VX62 off road rims and 37x12.5.17 Toyo Open Country R/T tires on my 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Trailboss.
Current lift: 6" rough country mono shock and strut assembly lift.

@@larryrice2579 good question I was down to about 12 mpg with the RTT and everything before. It’s hard to gauge how accurate that even was because my speedometer is off still. I never got the OBD device to calibrate for the tire size.

I’ll check in a few days and report back what the cluster gauge says. Not sure if it will be accurate though.

So the RC lift allows for 17 inch wheels , with their knuckles… what offset are the wheels that may be what allows the fitment …35’s are perfect with these TB’s (what I run on mine ) half ton axles …and upgrade your control arms and minimum …

Did you custom mount the led bar inside the grill or did you get a specific kit?

I don't actually have a led bar I don't do much night time off roading. I have a grumper from Fabfour with some rigid light pods, a warn winch, and factor 55 winch hook.

I have the Bilstein shocks on my 19 TB, do you like the ride on the rough country front shocks?

Haven’t had the Bilstein before so I can’t really compare it. But, the rough country definitely feels better than stock.

Were the 17s you put on the -12 4.5 backspacing version? Or the 0 offset?

I’m getting a 4” BDS lift on my LT Trail Boss next week and am conflicted over 35s or 37s. I have the 5.3 what’s your opinion after driving on those mean 37s ?

Honestly, I feel like 35s are going to perform better. You will get less rubbing off road, and your engine/tranny won’t have to work so hard. However once you see your truck on 37s it’s hard to go back, the 37s look bad ass.

@@FearTheReaper937 I have the 10 speed. It isn’t really noticeable on the freeway, but the acceleration does feel slightly muted now when I’m driving around town. They have a few plug and play chips that you can calibrate the tire size and turn off DFM, I might get one of this eventually.

those plastic pieces in the front should be able to be unbolted. i think there are 2 bolts behind the liner, i removed them completely on my 21

Did it work? Been a while since I did mine. Great truck btw. Awesome that y’all can use it as an overlander. No where to do that in Louisiana, but still camp out of mine a couple time a year.

@@nyquillisdillwad2824yea thanks for the tip! There are 6 bolts I think normally you would have to remove the front bumper but I have just big enough hole in my bumper I can reach them.

It’s on my list of upgrades I need to do! I’ve been putting it off because the lift I have keeps the stock angle of the upper control arms. But I still want beefier arms, depending on what lift I upgrade to I will get the arms that comes with the kit.

looks horrible, wheels stick out too far and become road hazards for other vehicles

Looks are definitely subjective, but it’s not really a road hazard it still fits in the lane like any other wide body. Raptors are coming straight out of the factory much thicker.
