Hey Sam, I've seen your vids on getting 4A*s, but can you make a video on how year 13 went for you revision wise, so what you were focusing on each month/half term, and how that changed leading up to A level etc, thanks
Hi! Really enjoyed this video, especially the discussion about mindset- I hadn't really thought of that before. I am also a Cambridge RU-vidr (although I have only just started and not posted many videos yet!) I just wondered how you balanced posting videos and uni? Do you post any videos in term time or not? Do you use the 'schedule upload' features? Cheers :)
To be honest I was pretty poor in first year, I barely posted any videos during term time. This year I'm going to try and be more strict with myself so hopefully that will help
Hey Sam, I’m a Year 12 student right now. I do Maths, Economics and Business. I really don’t know if Business is the best subject for me, because everyone around me keeps saying it’s a weak subject and universities such as Cambridge, LSE etc. don’t want Business if you’re trying to do Economics at A-Level. My School’s UCAS advisor said that universities only look at grades and the fact you’ve done maths. However, everyone who’s gotten into Cambridge, LSE etc. have all done a combination like Maths, Economics and Business. Should I switch to a subject like physics or not? Thanks!
Look at this link to see what Cambridge say www.econ.cam.ac.uk/apply/ba-economics/course-prerequisites#:~:text=It%20is%20therefore%20important%20that,(or%20an%20equivalent%20requirement).
I'm looking at applying in a months time, I've only just started practicing for the tmua. How much time would you recommend I spend during September/October each day revising for it and should I prioritise it over the first couple of months work in year 13. Also, would you mind sharing how long you prepared for, and what score you achieved to secure your interview/offer .
Check out the video on my channel: 'How I Prepared For My University Admission Test' (its in the University playlist). I'd definitely prioritise it in the first couple of months of year 13, as long as it doesn't hinder your A-Level revision too much. Also, make sure it doesn't result in your predicted grades being lowered. Unfortunately I sat the ECAA so the scoring system and thresholds will be different!
Oh yeah I forgot that it's only a new introduction haha, I'm just hoping I haven't left it too late I'll try put in the hours to atleast give myself a good chance. Thanks for the response good luck in your degree! @@SamHillman
