I know exactly how you feel. I worked so hard during my A Levels, and I was expecting to receive A grades. I cried so hard when I got BBB, because it wasn't a reflection of the hours I put in. They've since been remarked and I received AAB, but it's a very upsetting experience. Hope it works out for you.

Congratulations Ibz! I am so proud of you! I honestly feel like this 'fight' for what you deserve was just a testament to you and another interesting chapter in your life story. I went through the same thing this year (2nd year)! My grandma died during exam term and I had to go to her funeral on the day of my last exam, so I missed it. My first grade was a 2.2 because the missed exam counted as a fail (and ofc it's Cambridge, no resits UGH) but eventually they accepted my appeal in August and my grade got brought up to a 1st! it was such a weird experience though because I was in limbo for literally TWO MONTHS so I had no idea what to tell people abt my results :/ massive congrats on getting through the process and getting your rightful 2.1!!

Congratulations Ibrahim on so MANY levels: First and foremost, congratulations on your graduation and your final grade!!! You DID work hard throughout MUCH MORE than 3 years in order to get that degree, through so many, many struggles that we only know some of, not all. Secondly, congratulations for your continued hard work and determination to see that your hard work was afforded the respect and grade it rightly deserved instead of just shrugging your shoulder and thinking, “Oh well.” Ibz, since the start of your journey even way back in GCSE, it is clear you have had leadership qualities and have had to rely on those qualities to see you through some extremely trying times to ensure you are never treated or given less than you deserve. The fact you took on the “mystic” of appeal because you honestly felt it was the right thing to do, continues to speak volumes about your leadership qualities and your ability to face many more of the stresses and strains that will come your way as you progress in this adult life. So, I congratulate you on this decision and on not baking down from it because it was the right thing to do. Thirdly, congratulations on receiving all the accolades and recognition for all you have done thus far in just a few short years to try to right the wrongs of the word log for others too and for showing society today that even a young lad from Hackney, with everything going against him, has and deserves a place at the table and is just as capable of achieving new heights as someone more privileged at the start through his own hard work and determination and that class, ethnicity, religion, sexuality or anything else should not limit possibilities but, more importantly, should not limit doors being opened and supported equally in this world. So, congratulations on the awards, on the recognition and on opening the possibilities to others to follow by setting the way. Finally, congratulations on your experiences to date in your law conversion course and in finding a way to turn the worries of only a couple of months ago into a learning opportunity that will help you to take that next step. I am uncertain which area of law you intend to pursue, but may I suggest Human Rights Law? You could combine your knowledge and experience with education and psychology to help others in that field as well because Human Rights Law included education law and the psychological impact of war and/or totalitarian rule on the rights and outcomes in education of those who are not as fortunate as we are here or other Democratic societies. Just a suggestion though. I believed this is the same field Amal Clooney is in as well, so you could read up on it and her experiences and background. Congratulations Ibrahim, you are a wonderful example for our young gene hereto on and for how persistence and determination can achieve even the greatest of impossible dreams!!! You’re amazing. You embody what it means to be a fighter and you have so much courage, honestly you’re an inspiration and your beautiful soul just emanates and glows from your body. During my undergrad I had it really tough, I had a nervous breakdown, anxiety went through the roof. My mother had psychotic episodes and often at times she’d run away, so I’d be driving around the neighbourhood late at night trying to find her. Then my only solid support system - my dad - died suddenly. So no there was no financial or emotional support from my family. My university was very considerate and very supportive of my work. Without my tutors I don’t think I’d of graduated with a first class degree. I’ve moved onto honours now (at a different university) and eventually I’m hoping to study medicine, but things are very difficult and many people are telling me that I should just give up on my dream. Due to having depression, anxiety and adhd, but I know I can handle the pressures of med school, as most of my issues stem from my family. I’m also a full time carer to my mum, whose moods fluctuate every day, hour, and second. She also suffers from a chronic and painful disease with no cure, so her mobility is limited. I have no one who can financially or emotionally support me. I see a psychologist and Dr. but it’s very hard and takes a lot of energy to change your neural pathways and form more effective and healthier coping mechanisms. I was working full time, but it didn’t allow me to study for the med entrance exam. So at the moment I’m living off benefits. With the extreme pressure to perform well - I need to get averages of at least 80% and perform well on the six hour med entrance exam - and make sure my mum is okay and ensure that I’m looking after my mental health effectively, it just seems so impossible. But, listening to your story has given me so much hope and at the end when you were showing your degree I was smiling like crazy. Thank you so much, your story means a lot to me and thank you for sharing it ❤️💕
