She deserved to get into FIT. After she got waitlisted, she didn't just give up. Many of us, like she said, probably would have done nothing about it. The fact that she saw an opportunity in that situation, proves how much dedication and passion she has for the fashion industry. She took that chance to further prove what she is capable of. I would go to FIT because Christina inspired me but I am a dancer and I heard that there are dance colleges in NYC so atleast I’m still going to go to a college in NY☺️
I already got into FIT but I am still watching, I think maybe cause its cool that she got off the waitlist and makes me think of the schools that waitlisted me when I was in high school and if I could have a second chance (I am a transfer to FIT, also I am kinda glad I didn't get into the schools that waitlisted me haha)
hey girl we met at orientation! I had a similar experience with admissions, I was so passionate about getting in visited and called them more times than I can count. cheers to us being proactive about doing what we love.

My dream is to go to college in California or FIT for graphic design, but I 100% want to go to California that is my life goal. I'm on a completely different career path than you and currently pursuing grad school but this video was inspirational. I'm too reserved for my own good, and never that BOLD and persistent about my ambition or about "proving myself" to others and it's why I never bothered to appeal my financial aid at big undergrad schools I got into or bothered to appeal my waitlist at big public ivies I got into. Goes to show that self-confidence and being your own biggest advocate while persisting is KEY to succeeding!
ever since June 13th, 2017 when I discovered you, I started having a passion for makeup. It has been my goal for awhile now to attend FIT when I get old enough. I'm still currently in the 8th grade, but my future high school offers a cosmetology class. I plan on taking it, and putting forth my best effort. Thanks for inspiring me everyday to reach my goal! This really helped me get thinking about how to handle things if something that I wanted to happen didn't happen as planned. If possible, be persistent. I'm 18 and you've done wayyyy more in life than I have lol. I hope to one day be as dedicated as you are about what you do/want to do. I got rejected the first time I applied to FIT so I figured ill try again and I applied again an just recently got waitlisted. but listening to Christina speak about her determination to get she has motivated me too go the further step and take control of getting what I want.

BROOOO! I just checked my mail earlier and saw that I got a letter from FIT and my reaction was just like yours haha. I saw the small envelope and I was like no. I closed the mailbox and stood there like dang it! It's not a package, cause usually when you get accepted you receive a package with congratulations in the front. Honestly for some reason I didn't feel helpless, even before opening the envelope, I was too calm, maybe it was the state of shock lol but idk. Well I finally got into my room and I was like okay let's do this... So I opened it and I saw that I got waitlisted and I was like okay there's a chance. I texted my friends and they were basically like nah hopes dead but I'm refusing to believe that it's impossible, I especially have a boost after watching this video. You're lucky that you live near FIT, I'm all the way down here in Texas. I'm going to email them though. DUDE ALSO THE SAYING ABOUT BEING THE SQUEEKY WHEEL LOL I LIVE BY THAT !!! One question, when you sent the letter did you mail it or through email? Anyways thank you for restoring some hope in me. I'm going to try my best and see what happens.

My friend who is a genius always told me if you REALLY want something: bombard them with emails lol. He got some really amazing internships just by emailing them everyday. You did everything right you proved you really want it!

Hi I am 14 yrs old and I am obsessed with makeup. My friend who does not interest in makeup showed me who you are and I found out about this college! I would love to attend their! My goal is to become like you, Laura lee, Jaclyn Hill, and so many other youtubers and other cosmetologists who did not give up on their dreams! My parents do not approve of me becoming a cosmetologist because they think I won’t be successful but just because they do not approve I will not give up on my dreams. The High School I'm going to be in next year is called High School of Fashion Industries and it is connected to FIT College and when i get accepted to the high school, I get a chance to be be accepted in FIT college. I'm so happy that I am going to The High School of Fashion Industries which is my Dream High School.Watching this video helps me a lot on what I have to do to get accepted into FIT once i'm a senior.THANK YOU CHRISTINA : )
