Your hamstring muscles have 2 functions: hip hinge (deadlift or hip thrust) and knee flexion (leg curl). If you skip leg curl movement you increase the risk of injury, I suggest you to add that to your routine aswell, maybe do 1/2 of your sets as hip hinge (since your whole quad volume is from squats, you also heavily train glutes that are responsible for hip hinge) and 1/2 as leg curl.
I wouldn't say it's better or worse + it can be too hard for some people, for leg curl machine you can do even 5kg, for nordic curl it's fixed amount depending of your bodyweight. Also nordic curl is still technically leg curl movement.
Hamza, your videos have helped me so much throughout the time youve been making them. You have been teacher for us for so long, your videos are all the truth! 🔥🔥
If anything, my legs are overdeveloped so not a problem. But your general message on not rushing goals and finding other avenues for self development or ways of giving your life meaning is pretty powerful
No joke bro thanks for making this content i found you around a year ago and i was unhealthy weak and sad, a year later im in wreslting now doing physically and mentally better and im a lot stronger
My first Bulgarian split squads I was just falling all the time. My 2nd I finally got a full set in without losing balance. Hoping to continue like that now on, it’s amazing for balance for sure
@@UltraWhalethey’re really well defined and vascular not actually huge lol. If that were the case bodybuilders would never do squats and just bike ride
@@jiidkatthispoint Google "Track cyclist legs". If your legs are bigger than that, I rest my case. If not, get your lazy a*s on a bike. Edit: Not saying you will get such legs from just biking to your local store, but if you bike to places every day you will definitely see good results while you also save time by not having to do that much legs at the gym. Make sure its a heavy bike with no gears and don't get off the bike in the uphills to work the fast twitch fibers.
I got a mountain bike a few months ago and I go on rides almost every day now and it has been the best way to build muscle in my legs. Now even my calf muscles have muscles on top of them lol
Injured my shoulder so I cant work out my upper body anymore. I will use this time to maximize Leg and Core gains. This Video came at the perfect time thanks bro
Bro the exact same. I've been injured in my shoulder sinc3 September(I'm slowly recovering). Worst inury ever, I can't do pulling or pushing movement. So since then I've been going to the gym only to do legs lmao. Never been more focused on my legs in my life lmao. Good luck recovering bro.
@@daayemshehzad I just forced my progression on exercises when my tendons and joints were not ready, and my form was bad. I had also a range of motion that was way too big. It was especially pushing movements like Dips, Bench Press etc... that I was doing wrong. And when the pain is here it's already too late, but I was dumb and I continued with the pain until I couldn't even raise my arm or sleep. I'm actually grateful this happened because now I won't forget to be aware when training lol
When I first started getting my life together at 21, I had just gone through a rough break up and went to the gym, eventually I found self improvement content when I came across a Hamza video, Reading , Gym, Learning Skills, Trying business ideas, ever since I that day I've been on and off with my dedication to it. But something changed a week ago, something clicked, I've never been so productive and happy in my life, I sat down and I Made a plan, I needed to really make a decision and solidify it, and so I did, I made the official decision to Focus my energy and time to Making RU-vid videos and I'm not stopping my daily habits, or my Consistent Mental, Physical, and Creational Cultivation, I will be what I'm meant to be, and the only way I can possibly fail is by giving up, Not Happening. I can do it, I know I can, And I know you can too.
I have been doing only backsquats and RDLs (recently switch RDLs for deficit snatch Grip deadlifts cause Im running a new program) for 4 months and my legs are bigger compared to 8 months ago because Im focusing only on a these key exercises for my legs and I'm planning to get my up in heavier weights and improving my form during my progress. Most people do too many exercises for a certain bodypart and they are more focused on what "optimal" because of what their favourite fitness influencers say online however the reality is that if you want to get big then ditch the "optimal" stuff, choose 2 to 3 basic exercises per bodypart max and focus on getting stronger on those exercises that will give you good value for time.
Today I will change my life. I finally committed to mediating and gratitude journaling this morning. It was worth it. Thank you hamza,I hope you keep the full guides their my favorite!

One extremely simple thing I’ve been implementing to grow my legs is simply running between every place I go to throughout the day - doing this I run about 4-5km every day! The benefits are a triple whammy: building your legs, improving your cardio/athleticism & getting to everywhere you go quicker! PS* if you’re looking for music more aligned with your self improvement journey then I’m an artist making songs through a spiritual lens striving for masculine excellence, if you’re here I believe you’ll resonate 💪💎🧬
Another fun tip for middle-highschoolers,join a school sport. My school football team lets everyone who plays sports into the gym in the basement of the school and it’s just a great environment, you get a free workout plan (which has been working great for me),it gives you a reason to workout other than just looking good, you get a bunch of other kids to hype you up and it’s just super fun. Something I like about my schools gym is that there is a board of everyone’s max bench, squat, deadlift, clean and jerk, and shouldperpress and it’s like a game to try and get higher on the leaderboard.
This is awesome, finally good wholesome fitness content. If you could let us know what you do/did for your upper body day that would be awesome, as I have always felt that there is so much to work in just one day for upper body that it was confusing what exercises to choose.
Leg day basic template: Squats: 3 sets 6 reps heavy weight Leg press or leg extension: 3 sets 8-12 reps + drop set till failure RDL: 3 sets 6-8 reps Seated calf raise: 2 sets 10-15 reps + drop set till failure Standing calf raise: 2 sets 10-15 reps + drop set till failure 2 leg days a week on day two switch leg press to leg extensions or vice versa. Also once you max out linear progress on any of the movements look at periodization on google
@@TradingSlave Thats not the problem. When it comes to Gym Videos I watch Sean Nalewanyj and renaissanceperiodization. But Hamza made this Video way too long with little information. Just learn how to Squad and do RDLs. You will get massive legs. No need for a 20+ minutes Video.
Thank you and thank god I am starting self improve at an early age(18). I have made really bad decisions in my life so far. Not a great start, but I have learned a lot. That said, just thank you and thank god.
Hamza, this video deserves to be at the 🔝 for “How to get bigger legs”. If this doesn’t go as viral as it deserves…maybe consider adding some SEO tags or something like that
Do heavy squats but also add higher rep work. Do your RDL’s/SLDL’s because they build big hammys unlike regular dead’s. Do your hammy curls(seated or lying) do either leg oress(or with one leg) or bulg split squats. **Important**Do the Hip adductor/Abductor machine. Free squat/Leg gains.
Your 100% right about financial issues. I was in the gym for a good 3-4 years 185lb in great shape and lost my job. I didn't see the gym consistently again for almost 3-4 years. Basically, starting from scratch, but I am making a comeback! Back at 175lbs from 155lbs, and possibly less 😥.
Thank you so much. All I think about is getting big and I’m obsessed which means I can’t sleep as I watch videos all the time and feel anxious, this is just what I needed honestly. My genetics suck which makes me mad. I need to chill out and trust the process
I believe that changing shit up is for sure will make you better gains, HOWEVER, you shouldn't do it too often. Always have excercises that you will ALWAYS do
I've been playing drums for 15 years, mainly focused on death metal (so i always played fast and technical stuff) and working out for one year. I hit 210kg, 5 sets and 8 reps, on the legpress and it's mainly from playing drums and not working out. Cycling and walking a lot of hills up and down is also good exercise
I do squats, bulgarian split squats(2 sets) , leg extension(2 set), plank ,leg press , Romanion deadlift (failure) and lying leg curl (failure)and its been great
Hamza I would love to see you have an interview with David Goggins because I think it will help me to understand alot more about masculinity and how to have a proper mindset. I also think it would be a rich experience for both of you and the followers like me too
ULTIMATE LEG DAY (modify to your needs) 1. Knee Flextion (Barbell squat, front squat, leg press, etc) 2. Hip Hinge (RDL, Back extension, SLDL) 3. Leg Exentions or Sissy Squats 4. Leg Curls OPTIONAL - Abs and Cavles
You can get better at squat by just doing bodywheight squat and look at you in the mirror also strenghten your rotators of your hips be bearfoot finally stretch your hips and calves your squat level will improve significantly.
I prefer bodyweight exercises, cause there is way less risk in fucking it up. Plus, you need very little space and no equipment. For legs on the high end, I would recommend one leg squads and reverse nordics. They are really good, because you don't really have to do much rep to get results and they give a ton of mobility and agility.
I will save you 27 minutes. How you get bigger legs is going to the gym and working out your legs. Sprinkle in maybe some sprinting sessions also. There you go.
Hey I noticed a small problem with your camera’s autofocus going crazy. Honestly not a major problem, but if you were to turn off the autofocus and just set your lens focus to the depth of field that you are sitting at, you would stay in focus for the entire video. Much love
Hamza, as a young girl I have found the recent video you made very interesting and helpful. As a thank you would I be able to send you a jar of real local highland honey? 😊
Like the issue with Dick size, im pretty glad that Im just gifted this from the start, but I hope this Videos helps a lot of guys out there thanks hamza !
I agree! I started making leg gains by copying elite Olympics weightlifter's squat technique. If you're shorter copy someone like Lu Xiaojun or Tian Tao and if you're taller you can copy someone like Li Dayin or Lesman Paredes.
Squat a weight where you can rep 12-15 just , do 3-5 sets , then do a drop set … continue that principle on every lift , your legs will be in pieces .. hypertrophy .. but after 6 weeks you will have to change it up a bit
tbh just play football or for Americans soccer. You have fun while building your legs and getting in cardio. If you play in a competitive game youll get a mind workout as well, youd be surprised how hard you have to concentrate to be in the right place at the right time while doing everything else.
I’m gonna be real bro I didn’t watch the video and was planning on just scrolling past but this thumbnail was mid, you couldn’t see a discernible change even though there probably has been, I feel like u prioritised showing ur physique improvements that weren’t leg related (eg love arrow veins) instead of ur actual leg gains, and ur quads weren’t even on the same level in the thumbnail. All love though only said this because I rate your content and want you to receive the reception you deserve on your videos. 🤝
Well you can do body weight squats or squat with stuff in the bag but you’ll have to do super high reps before your legs fatigue to the same extent as they would with a heavy barbell on your back. Try to save for a gym membership bro it’s worth it
Pendulum sissy squats (Alex Leonidas made a good video about them) and reverse Nordics for Quads. Ring hamstring curls, Nordics and hypertensions (if you can afford a bench!) Posterior chain
i am exactly like younger hamza and your completely right ive already done all i can for maximum muscle so i just bought the great rat race escape book
