I am only just looking into potentially enrolling to study Psychology at the moment, and found your videos while doing some research. I found all the information you shared incredibly insightful, and very helpful to have a broader scope of understanding what is involved. Congratulations on getting so far through your studies and getting into your master's. Thank you for your videos.

Hats off to you for doing your research! There's surprisingly not a lot of information out there, so I'm glad you found these somewhat helpful :) Let me know if you have any more questions!

Congrats on your acceptance to the Masters program! I think your share is incredibly relevant to the undergrads. So often the first year students are wondering about their long-term future in academia. And the 3rd/4th year students are wondering their pathways opportunities. All the best with the flooding~ stay safe

Thank you so much for your support over my past few videos! Exactly, I had no idea what was going on when I was in my early undergraduate years :') I am so lucky that I wasn't badly affected by the floods but the impact has been pretty devastating for many people over here :/

Awesome videos! I’m in my first year of Bach of science (thinking of doing psychology), I viewed all your videos and it is really helpful and it gave me some ideas of what to do and what to prepare for the following years. Was particularly helpful in what to expect in terms of stress and how competitive it can be in honour and master year. Hope you the best in Brisbane (hope your roommate aren’t as bad as mine but I’m moving soon so that’s a good news) and your master degree. Ps. I just came from Brisbane to Melbourne (at Monash).

Thank you for making this video! ❤ im just starting my bachelours in psychology (honours), and im wondering, does joining clubs and societies in uni help at all for getting into masters? Or will psych related work experiences be better?
@yash9801
@yash9801 10 месяцев назад
Soo glad you enjoyed it! I think joining any psych groups societies is beneficial. However, I would just do clubs in societies that you are personally drawn to! I wasn’t part of any clubs or societies that were specific to psychology, but I did join mentoring programs and worked in student support services at my University. These experiences where relevant for my masters applications. I just made a podcast called mental status for psychology students (peach background with blue spiral), and I think you might find it helpful 😊

Hi, thank you so much for the video! I’m going to apply for a graduate diploma in Psychology and honors, and then master degree. Just a quick question! To get into master degree clinical psychology, does it matter what university you graduated from for honors? Does the name value of the university make a difference? Thank you :)

I’m at Monash about to commence 4th year honours with hopes of commencing a clinical masters program next year and all of your videos have been so helpful! I just want to ask how you’re completing a Clinical psych masters program as on Monash’s website it only references Educational and Developmental psych masters. Is clinical included in the latter program? Thank you!

Thank you for your question! This is hard to answer but I would say you could realistically get everything done if you studied 9-5 for 3-4 days a week. Close to thesis time, I was studying for 8-10 hours a day? This was in the final weeks. However, I took heeeaaaps of breaks :)

How does bridging work?
@maggienoodl3s
@maggienoodl3s 2 года назад
I watched a psychology pathways seminar hosted by Monash back in May this year. For example, if you undertake a Masters of Professional Psych and become a registered general psych, if you want to pursue further study and take an endorsement, the bridging course is an additional Masters you can take to specialise. If you’re interested, Monash offer the Ed and Dev Advanced, it’s on their website ☺️

Yesss thank you Maggie! There are also bridging courses for clinical psychology offered by USQ (www.unisq.edu.au/handbook/2021/health-community/mcpa.html)
