Chuck is one of the most twisted people I’ve ever known. I lived on fanning from 2000-2003. NCL wasn’t there yet and I started a timber business using the coconut trees. We had attempted aquaculture there as well. Chuck was always mingling and trying to get his dirty hands in every way. I loved your videos it brought me back to that magical place.
I first met Chuck about 15 yr. ago,he was on his boat anchored up at Christmas Island. He was running surf charters out to Fanning and some other locations.We spent a bit of time with him over a week or so and then some of my local friends warned us to be wary of him. Turns out they were right, dodgy AF
Oh dear! We have waited for years to find out how things were going, and this is clearly not the news we were hoping for. Your time travelling to Fanning and on Fanning were brilliant to watch. I am glad that you are happy and have a great job which keeps you out in nature, where you thrive. I am also happy that you are holding no grudges to Chuck, may he too find a way to unburden himself of these happenings. Wishing you well as you find your way back to your island home and family in the future. We will surely come with you and support your journey. YOU are a down to earth guy which the world needs more of,good luck to your new adventures sometimes you just got to keep on trucking while you are young and healthy,do as much as you can till you want to put down roots.
No need to have a tourist guide or a surf camp.. the last thing you want to do those islands is turn it into Hawaii or Tarawa just leave it locally let the people experience it the way you and Chuck do.. travellers, hikers not tourist
Glad your ok. I know you got peeps on Fanning but remember there are many atolls in the South Pacific, let alone a whole big world to explore. If you had settled down there at a young age you would have gotten restless later in life. Now you won't end up like Chuck.
That's kind of hypocrite of Chuck, getting you kicked out for filming, yet he also asked you to go with him to Butaritari to *film* 🤔 smh. My family live on Christmas Island I've never been there myself so I did enjoy your videos thinking I'd accidentally see them in it somehow on the street, etc 🙂. In fact, My Dad used to work for Brad too. So sorry to know that you can't go back to film anymore and thank you again for letting us see home through your work. Sorry to hear that young man😞 My family loved watching your Fanning Island videos. We lived on Kiritimati Island for 3 years back in the early 2000. My husband and I hosted a number of Yacht families at our home so through those visits Chuck came along with his wife. We never saw him again. I’m so sorry you had to go through all that. Your kiribati family are lovely people. They were living on Kiritimati when we were there. My husband knows your kiribati dad well. I wish you all the best in your future travels to Kiribati. You are promoting their country and they should be thankful.
I'm so sorry about what happened. That was kind of a bummer! A few weeks ago I went back and visited my family in Tarawa, and I saw your friend, Chuck, at the supermall. I recognized him from watching your vlogs on Fanning island. Anyway, I hope you'll be able to go back and see your family on fanning. Tekeraoi!
G'day Cameron, loved your series on the Pacific islands and especially Fanning . A bummer about getting turfed out of the country. Most paradise situations has the Chuck factor to bring you back down to earth. Thinking of getting there in October. Any chance of staying at your place and paying your family? It would be good to get a reply from you.
Im so glad you were not arrested and disappeared. I really hope things work out with the government, maybe a lawyer could help you out, or the embassy, probably both, and a few testaments from locals. 🤞🤞
Wow, I kinda had a weird feeling about Chuck being a little off, creepy vibe. As for Kiribati, it's off my list of trips as well as Tarawa, I've been to Guam, Yap, Chuuk, Peleliu and Palau as I work for a major airline here in the US, I live for island travel and I fly fish and dive. The Cooks are where it is at and I've been to Aitutaki once and love the people, I've been to Tahiti many many times so if I were you I would forget about micro and FSM and focus on the Cooks and others in that area. Keep on hopping.
Talk to Kiribati Consulate in Honolulu, HI near Lagoon drive next to DKI Airport. They might pull some strings. Willie for President of Kiribati.......

Kiribas is a great place not many places like Kiribas in the world I been going there for over 25 years now my son was born there its had big improvements over the years roads resurfaced and runway and airport, I know Chuck I stay on Abemama where I have a place heading back there soon this year I will speak to Chuck when I,m there
You should get some T-shirts, made up and distributed all through the islands that say “Fuck Chuck”. 🕺🏼 you have done far more for the island people than Chuck ever has you’re nothing but a benefit to those islands and the fact that people loved you.

Between you and Chuck it reminds me of the Movie, (Ben-Hur) when his Childhood Roman friend and now a high ranking Roman Military Tribune wanted Judah Ben-Hur to betray his people the Jews. And he said you are either with me or against me!

Show me a paradise on earth where some human don't make complicated.... From what u were saying it was about greed and jelousy ... local ppl in every place have this weird way of sweet revange for something you shouldn't ever get revenge because you did nothing bad . Travelling around and trying to live in places shows me clearly - that's just everywhere . And yes negative ppl hate positive ppl... they'll use their power to ... eliminate them if they do ... as they think something wrong to them . Got not the same but similar situation here in Canarias now ... hard to swallow. Hope you find way back there. World is free humans make it prison .
If Chuck was using that phrase he that is not with me is against me that quote is from Jesus and Chuck should remember that phrase because he won't be entering into His paradise but will be thrust out... Chuck no Jesus no Paradise...
It is interesting how and what Chuck would say to twist the scriptures. I know this as we have communicated many times about his beliefs. I am sure you have so much more as well. There are strong cautions in the Bible about false teachers... and being involved in sorcery with the drugs you two promoted in some of the vlogs. I do hope this is becoming your truth for your sake and the others you influence
sad, so sad. but i at least we now know. I grow up in the pacific islands and their was always a strange and freaky portion of the fellow "westerner's" that spoiled it for the others. i feel sorry for the lost of your really great free "advertising" for Kiribati. Fanning was the dream!!

I only just discovered your vlogs in 0ctober 2023 on going to these pacific islands, as a surfer who"s grown up in Australia and done a lot of travelling to surf dive ect i could see you going the wrong way as soon as you wanted to go commercial on Fanning .You need to have learned just have an extreemly low profile, learn from the Chucks in this world when u meet them, be polite but sus everybody out and never stop sussing them out, .The greatest problem with the activity of surfing is crowds . Look around the world at all the famous surf spots that were once like Fanning, Just nature and innocent locals going about ther daily lives, the Domino affect of surfers not wanting to surf alone and telling others has spoiled so many places that now are overcrowded tourist Hell holes with thousands of hustling people chasing money and overcrowded surf spots with collisions agression {fights} coz its just way over crowded . I could go on and on but much beter when u find a paradise if u vlog then DONT give away the names of the places or reveal landmarks that can give the spot away . And if u dont vlog then keep the location to yourself ONLY . Telling one person will cause a domino affect and soon there"l be Tourist shite everywhere where once there was nature only . Keep an Extreemly low footprint and then you can go back for ever even and its just like the first time you discovered it , just nature and you . .

The spiritual reason why things have turned out as they have, is because of the pig and fish killing. Nothing against you personally, but I study the spiritual mathematics of cause and effect, and I was shown that the negativity the pigs and fish go through, directly effects the causers of the harm. You are a good person, I like your shows, and remember, kindness with no harm, is the way to liberation.
@@wavehunta Not true. By your logic it would be okay if a cannibal killed, and ate you, so long as he said a prayer, and was thankful. Check yourself before you wreck yourself. Kindness is key. Stop the selfish animal murder, or you will suffer just as they did.
