Great video! On my sbe 4.8, I ramp timing to 42 then around 10 on the chip & it works great! I just posted a before & after video on my Facebook page & it’s crazy the difference tuning can do lol
@@OverydeMotorsports I don’t have too much popping & banging but it’s deff a big difference in coming up on the 2step. I used to think my converter wouldn’t go passed 2900, now I got it to 3400 & hopefully higher.
Tha KS for the post! awesome content between the 3 videos. went over to turbojohns video and he had the one issue pulling too much timing, and in your file you damn near went to 0 and didn't hiccup. I know setups can like certain things but when you dropped to almost 0 timing did you find the hiccup and drop out too?
I definitely was when the base timing was all messed up. The reluctor was off 7* so 10 degrees was actually 3. Then it would fall off the chip really easy. Once I fixed that it was so peppy. But I’m sure it was going negative on the chip with it was off and it would still build boost. Also I was hitting with a ton of rpm tho so I’m sure the incoming boost got it goin
With the 16 vane stator set up; if you turned the advanced tables off and went on the brake - what kind of RPM would you see? I've got twin S369's on a 5.3 with a 17 vane 9.5 inch converter, I set rev limit 1 at 4000 but it just sits at 2800 or so and zero boost when I'm WOT on the brake. I've swung the timing from zero to 40 degrees while on the brake, and RPM doesn't go above 2800 and it doesn't make boost. On the dyno it doesn't start to make boost until about 5500 RPM. Any advice is appreciated.
Will the limiter offset work on a gen 1/2 of Holley terminator x. Having issues making boost on trans brake (5.3 SBE TT cam, twin 78’s) 6.70 1/8 1.60 60 foot
I don’t believe they have limiter offsets on terminator x. I would try leaving on more rpm and using a timing offset like I did to try and get it to go. What kinda boost does it make easy?
Oh hell yeah nice. I would try it with just timing first and see what happens. Maybe like 4000rpm 2 step. Dump valve open if you have one. Without being able to rpm offset you probably will have to just raise the 2step if it doesn’t wanna go. I feel like mine would do it with timing only now. I should try it
