I know where you are coming from. My mojo went missing as well. I found it in a plastic box with everything I needed to make my granddaughter a lap quilt. I started a small size lap quilt with larger pieces and the mojo took over. Thank goodness! I'm back! Missed your face and am happy to see you back, as well.
You have made my New Year! I have missed you do & been praying for you & the Engineer! Another fantastic video that I am saving to watch over & over as I try a mitered border :) So glad you are back!
I found you over the Xmas Holiday…you know the fabric Xmas prints turning really good looking quilts ( a really funny/fun event) . So while you on your break I binge watched your channel. Glad to see you back ! Congrats on the new machine…I learned from you and love your style. Happy New Year to and yours.
Oh thank you Barbara for watching my channel 😊. I’m glad you found me and that you enjoyed The 12 Days of Quiltmas❣️. Happy New Year to you and yours as well🎉🥳🎉😊
Aloha from Hawaii!!! Loved this video!! As a math person i just loved the engineering of those mitered corners!!!! Euclidean geometry is the coolest- you can see it in action in real life!!!😀😀‼️‼️‼️
Happy New Year Di. I am so glad you are feeling better. Hope everyone else is too. Happy you got your Sojo back. I know how that feels not to have it. Yucky. And another great visit with you. Keep smiling.
Hi Diane, hope you had great holidays and everyone is feeling better. I missed your smiling face. Enjoyed your video and explanation on how to do mitered corners. Take care. Sending many hugs. See you on Friday.
Didn't you have an issue like this previously? Seams like you did. Anyway, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who lost their sewing mojo. Don't want to do any work on my Cutie Frame & get my quilt tops done. 😤
Glad you got your sew jo back! Mine vanished for almost a year and a half (parents aged rapidly and both passed in less than 6 months, plus Covid...). All is great now!
I’m glad you’re back and so sorry to hear about your parents that’s tough. Then Covid on top of that, so hard😢. I’m glad you’re back, hugs and sew on❣️😊🐥
I'm happy to see you again. 😊Thank you for the lesson. I've lost my sewjo, too busy with work and both of us got sick, and death in family. It's been a tough month.
I love this quilt and you're so right mitered corners are the perfect way to go on that quilt. excellent work! Di I love how cheerful you are in your videos, it a joy to watch them. I'm currently sewing 3 yard quilts, and procrastinating longarming a charity quilt. My long arm isn't computerized and the panto has a lot of straight lines. yikes. wish me well on that bit of longarming.
I've missed your cheerful videos & am glad to see you back! I know you had quite a year in 2022, so be sure to take some time for yourself too. Take Care!
Glad to see you back, we were worried about you and the Engineer with all your health scares. I like so many missed you and your videos, can’t wait to see what you have next now that your mojo is back.
Hi Di! Glad to see you, and oh my gosh, what a timely video. I just finished piecing a quilt yesterday and was struggling with the borders. Mitred corners would definitely be the answer. Once again, thank you for your tutorials ... always great information and instructions! Happy New Year!
Lost my 'sewjo' October 22nd when I tripped over my dogs, broke my left wrist and tore the cuticle from the index finger on my right hand. I'm older than dirt so I'm still not 100%. My hubby thinks a new machine would help. Please, you seem to be very happy with your Juki... what model do you have and would you recommend it?
So sorry to hear that news Fran. My new one is the Juki TL-2010Q. It’s straight stitch only but powerful, quiet and easy to use and maintain. I highly recommend it. It stinks that we heal so slowly these days but life is good and quilting is wonderful. Thanks for watching my channel😍😊😍❣️
Wishing you well on your recovery. I find an easy pattern , such as three yard quilts help. They are larger pieces , yet pretty , not to big to work with , and you get a sense of accomplishment that helps bring your mojo back.
I found the Hulk fabrics from the prior video on line. They are from a company called Camelot Fabrics based in California. They have a lot of novelty prints from Disney, Marvel, Harry Potter, DC, Star Wars etc. Camelot has a store locator on their website, but only two in my state and none near me. I found the fabric on sale at Joann's of all places.
Are you going to make a Hulk quilt then?!?! My customer found them on Etsy but there were very few shops to select from. Thanks for watching Cynthia😊‼️
I’m having a very hard time learning free motion quilting and that’s really taking some of the enthusiasm out of my sewing. I’ve got to figure out a way to get all of my tops quilted and sending them out is just not in my budget. My machine goes fast and does not have a speed control feature and I am having so much trouble finding the balance with speed and hand motion😢 Great to see you back❤❤
Developing FM muscle memory takes patience. Do you have a glide pad on your sewing machine base? Those really help. I understand the struggle as I’m not very good with FMQ. Keep practicing and be patient with yourself. Thanks for always watching my channel😃😍‼️
Sew glad to see your smiling face Di! I just got my mojo back. I think after the holidays we just need a breather. I really did miss sewing tho. I wasn’t anticipating buying more fabric yet this year but I couldn’t resist buying some Valentine fabric lol. I really want to make some of the quilt kits I bought last year so I’m going to muscle through some of them before spring. Have a great weekend ❣️
A few of the steps were a little out of camera range. I believe if I watch again I will get the hang of it. You didn't let a little lack of fabric deter you; a great lesson for all us. Your Quilt is cute and cosy !
Hi Di. Happy New Year, I was beginning to worry about you. I hope you had a good rest while you were looking for your sojo. Great video as always and your hair looks great. Be well and keep warm.
This is my favorite border. I know it was difficult the first time, but the more I do them and the way they turn out really adds to the look of the quilt. Thanks for sharing and reminding me too do this on the quilt I am making now.
@@sisterchicksquilting NO, it's still raining, so we are waiting until it's completely stopped so we don't have to maybe do it again. The carpet man hasn't called me back. So he must be very busy.
