I make video tutorials about modern, traditional and scrappy quilts! And I'm funny! I publish quilting videos every Friday and sometimes in between Fridays.
If you're are hooked on quilting, like I am, or looking to get hooked on quilting, I believe you will enjoy my videos. I've been quilting since 2010 and sewing garments since I was 13 years old, that's a long time driving a sewing machine in "Chick" years!
I also have a longarm quilting business where I finish customer quilts with fancy stitching using, Olive, my Gammill Longarm. If you would like me to quilt your quilt, you can contact me through my website. There you will find a quilt prep form, my pricing and contact information and a gallery of quilts showing my work. Please email me through the contact tab on my website and I'll contact you so we can discuss your quilt.
Again you can find me on my website: sisterchicksquilting.com or on Instagram: instagram.com/sisterchicksquilts/
I’m so excited that you showed us the Cutterpillar Flex Light! Just what the eye doc ordered! And, I just ordered it using your generous discount code!!! Woot, woot! Oh, yes, please tell the Engineer the I remember Romper Room very well!!!!🤣😂
So sad. Blessings to the family and to you for doing it. When I want to bind a minky back I just cheat. I cut the backing about 1 inch wider then the front, bring it to the front , fold over, and sew down as if it was a regular binding. Saves half the steps.
I love the quilt show tour. So many ideas. So little time. Silly me. I moved my phone and was wondering why the houses were hung upside down. Took me a moment to realize that the image had flipped. 😅 The maple-New Mexico quilt inspires me to make a similar quilt for my daughter. She just moved from NM to Massachusetts. She is a botanist (among many talents), and her favorite trees are oaks. She has maples at her new home. ❤
Oh my!! What a week you had. So happy you get to meet April in person. The quilt is amazing and you and Michelle did a beautiful job finishing it. How special you are to do this for the family. I will definitely be buying that light for my machine. I had used a different brand and it stopped working too soon after buying. I like the fact that I can look into the bobbin area too. I have the same machine. I hope you and your family are feeling better.
No forgiveness needed. We all want you to focus on getting better. Love the light. I've tried several that didn't work as well as I had hoped. Thank you for sharing with us.
I remember Romper Room. She never said my name. Talk about PTSD! I would love to see you quilt that quilt. I hope that quilt brings the family some peace. It's certainly beautiful and you and Michelle honored it with a great job. Poor Di...at least it has to get better.
Real life happens. There are many sayings but I totally understand crazy days, weeks, years. Go with the flow. I have had that flexible sewing machine light and love it. Mine cane with 2 holders so it can be used on 2 different machines which is perfect for me. As I get older, I need better lighting, especially at retreats or on vacation. Highly recommend it. The memory photo quilt was beautiful. The accident was unfortunate but you got repairs and should now be enjoying your time with April. Hope it is a great week. You deserve it.
I'm so thankful you were not injured! The quilt was amazing, and will be such a blessing to the recipient. I love your videos, and April's, too. I hope to see you together soon
Goodness, you've had a time! I hope July is boring in comparison, except for lots of good things!! I got a light like yours a few months ago and can finally see things I was struggling with, like hera marks on busy fabric and the edge of dark binding that matches the quilt border! It didn't take me long to discover that I could use it when I cleaned my machine instead of kicking the foot pedal out of reach (hopefully) and leave the machine on so I could use the light to see into the dark depths to clean my machine. Whew, the safety inspector would approve! Romper Room, yes lots of people are that old! :oD Hope you are both completely healthy by now and that your trip was amazing! Looking forward to your new binding hack! Happy Independence Day. May the 4th be with you! ;) Donna
How caring and compassionate you and Michelle are to this precious Grandma and family. My heart is full♥️ It is absolutely beautiful and I’m certain it will bring many years of comforting love thru their grief. May God richly bless you and Michelle and this dear family.💕🙏🏻
I'm sorry you were sick. You're a real trooper to be on and sharing this story with us. Engineer get feeling better soon! Michelle you are incredible! I loved this technique!
Aloha from Hawaii!!! 🌈🌈🌈. Glad no one it’s hurt and all is good going forward!!! 😀😀‼️‼️. Is this the first time you meet April Story!!!! She is hilarious!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣‼️
I would love to see it. But take care of yourself. I been seening a neurologist for 2 tumors. And I have had 2 strokes. But I haven't let them stop me from sewing. I take one day at a time. I may sew a little, then stop and go and rest. So I love to watch your videos.
Thank you for sharing the light info. I had something similar a whole ago, but when it broke, I couldn't find a replacement. Will be ordering from your link.
