Thanks for your tips, especially the first one. I couldn't pass first semester because I love reading so I focused more on text books instead of paying more attention to what is said in class. I've learned my lesson so im heading back to nursing school this fall..good presentation!
Im in the third semester and i was doing so well now Im at the stage of failing ... I dont know what to change more. Im so upset and frustrated. Please help
TIME STAMPS: - What to focus your study time on (1:50) - What to do if your school uses HESI or ATI (2:55) - What's the MOST important thing for you to study (4:39) - How to study for FINAL EXAMS (7:08)
I just wanted to say, thank you so much for your tips! I previously learned to study my first year of nursing school by listening to lectures mostly, and third semester my instructors completely tested differently and I went down to scoring 75% my first three exams feeling very fustrated and defeated after hours and hours of studying. For next one, I printed out all their slides so I could focus my attention on what they emphasized there and stay on track, and added my notes to theirs, it really stuck by studying them a bit daily for 2 weeks, and I just finished my 4th with an 88% 🥺 you’re extremely helpful thank you again for sharing your study habits!
Thank you for letting us know you loved this video, Andrea Vernon. 😊 Our favorite part of our day is hearing about how our resources have helped YOU! Your support means the world to us. 😁You're doing a fantastic job!!
Amen!!! Studying for days and the past two tests it's been all the wrong info...getting tested on stuff that wasn't in the power points. Thanks for these tips
So happy to hear this helped you, Esoteric Armadillo! Remember, you will be an AMAZING nurse that God created only YOU to be, and you CAN do this! We are here to support you, don't give up %name%. There is ALWAYS a way! 😊
I thank God for people like you. I am in my second session (started 1/2/24). I was 1 point off from passing...just took the second exam this past Tuesday, and I didn't have the decency to even get a 70! But I don't want to give up. I was doing well in the beginning, until Care of the Adult session.. I have gone to multiple Time Mgmt. seminars and I see that my problem is not getting through the material in a timely manner.
Woohoo! Thanks for letting us know you loved the video, Ifeoma Onwu! We're so happy to hear that! So glad you are here! Every Tuesday there will be a new video! :)
Just recently found your videos and honestly they have helped me understand so much. So much easier to understand as I’m in my first semester and struggling. Thank you so much!

Thanks for your recommendation, Marjo! I'm so glad you love our channel! We actually focus on topics related to core nursing school classes, rather than pre-requesites like anatomy and physiology. But I'm sure there are a ton of other RU-vid channels that teach A&P and pre-req topics that can help you! :)
@overcomer8691 as far as preparing to take the TEAS we recommend Kate, from Prenursing Smarter: www.prenursingsmarter.com/ She is awesome and her resources are excellent! Hope this helps!! You're going to do amazing, friend.
I really enjoyed your video, I will try this method as I am struggling with 1st semester in school. I will get back to you and let know how your tutorial video helped me. I try to remember everything in the lecture but I see that something is not right. Thank you so much
Too late! I just finished my last exam for Fundamentals yesterday and failed the class! I took too much time (8 to 12 hours!!) studying the wrong things! The teacher, when being asked by another student what should we focus on for an exam, which was a legit question since 7 chapters in the textbook (447 pages) had to be condensed into 80 questions, replied, "everything is up for grabs," (which is all of the 7 chapters in the textbook!). My friend in class whispered, "Well that helps narrow it down." I was so frustrated. My teacher didn't teach much at all but reiterated the points on the PowerPoint! Lectures were a waist of time. So was asking for help. My friend, who has been a nurse in Canada for 25 years said when she was in school the teachers always told them what to know for exams, reviewed material in class beforehand, taught well, and was very organized... (Fun fact: Canada produces the highest level of Nurses!). Yeah, shouldn't have to be reading 27 chapters (437 pages) and guessing what might be important to know for a 80 question exam when paying thousands of dollars for Nursing education. I now have to wait another year and take it over (definitely won't be looking again on rate your professor either). She is a much older adult and hopefully retires soon because she really needs to stop teaching in an institutional setting). That costed me big time. Not sure if I want to be a Nurse anymore. What was your experience like? God bless you if you had great teachers who were helpful :)
So sorry to hear about your experience, JDM Donald Son. It is unfortunate when this happens. Try to remember that God has a plan for you, even though it may not look like the plan you had envisioned, He has a plan for you. Keep the faith. We are here to support you, don't give up! There is ALWAYS a way! 😊
This was basically my experience too in nursing school and I ended up dropping because I was failing and wasn't sure what to focus on. Our powerpoints were useless, we didn't have anything to outline for what was important in the class, and the professors weren't much help. We had a lot of reading, homework, and then clinicals on top, so there was also, just so much going on. I am attempting nursing again at another school and have heard much better things. Unfortunately, some of my friends kept telling me the school I had previously gone to was really hard and I probably wouldn't like it. I pray this works out for me, but I am much more optimistic knowing what I know now!
Cherlda Joissaint, you will do AMAZING things, and each day intentionally decide to do better, be stronger, and take action towards your goal! You've got this, friend! 😊
I am going to be 50 years out and I'm in the BSN program and I work full time so my study time is limited is there anyway I can study and be able to retain. I feel like there is so much and I'm all over the place
You are not alone in feeling this way, A D Jenkins! You CAN do this!!!! This is another great video that will be helpful! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HAu6LD2nEro.html

kriley81 Chesna, as far as getting used to NCLEX style questions, the resources we always recommend are the Saunders NCLEX Comprehensive Review book (it's a physical book), and the NCLEX Mastery App (this one is an app for your phone). nclexmastery.com/ They have tons of options to filter through questions (fundamentals, pharmacology, med-surg, etc.), and they are very similar to the questions you'll see on the NCLEX. Hope this helps!! You're going to do amazing, friend. Believe in yourself and never, ever give up. You've got this!! Thank you for being here and allowing us to be a part of your nursing school journey. :)
Yay, Tariq Aziz! We are so glad this video helped you! It will depend on if your employer weighs your GPA heavily, some will and some won't. And as far as NCLEX, as long as you graduate from a nursing school you are eligible to take the NCLEX exam. Thank you for your support, it means the world to us. 😊
@@NursingSOS thanks mam , my 3 semester collectively cgpa means overall 3semester cgpa have 3.09 , is it good ?? 4th semester result is not announce still .
Had a question regarding adverse effects of captopril (ace inhibitor), 2 options were diarrhea and cough. Both r correct to my understanding but diarrhea was not the answer. Anyone have an explanation as to why two seemingly correct answers were there?
GamR Nightwing, nursing exams can be challenging, they are looking to make sure that you are able to apply what you know fully and prioritize. A dry cough is a very common side effect of ACE inhibitors, and diarrhea is a concern while taking an ace inhibitor because you could easily become dehydrated. I hope that helps to clarify it for you, friend. :)
What about if they break your classes into 7 weeks and have a test every 7 days and a final and last test one day apart ? Please answer. I am struggling

Nina Bella, yes all the exams in nursing school are usually NCLEX style to help you prepare. If you are able to check with your instructors, or a student who previously took the courses you are taking to check. You CAN do this!
Cherlda Joissaint, remember, you will be an AMAZING nurse that God created only YOU to be, and you CAN do this! We are here to support you, don't give up Cherlda Joissaint. There is ALWAYS a way! 😊
So sorry about that, Lauren! You can find that cheat sheet right here: nursingschoolofsuccess.com/checklist?+lead+gen&RU-vid&+description&CHEAT+SHEET+%7C+Study+Checklist& 😊
Gabriel Rivera, initially yes, Christina did work for some time during nursing school. It is a very personal choice for everyone whether to work during nursing school and how much based on many different factors. You CAN do this, don't give up on your goals. :) Thanks, friend! Have a fantastic day!
