Feel free to annoy me as much as you like my guy, it’s been an absolute pleasure working with you, and it’s been a pleasure listening to how simple yet informative and accurate your lessons are on getting jacked and strong. Another awesome video Matt. Thank you for allowing me to be part of it 🙏
Would you care to share the program that you and Matt created? I know its very individual but could be interesting to see what exercises you guys did :)
@@Orio1231 The link to the program is in the description of Matt's powerlifting video that came just before this. I'd share it but I think that would get flagged as spam

Matt, I'm 36 too and I'm also in my peak shape now than I was my whole shitty life before! Buddy, thank you for this great video. Btw I also quit drinking and smoking a while ago and started recording vids :) I can't tell you how grateful I am to you for this vid!
In his “on my own again” video he explained that he was trying to get passionate about content creation again. He is probably trying to find new topics to cover that inspire him.
Hi Matt hope you are doing well , I have to say I'm missing you and of course your contents so do not keep us waiting please :) I'm following you over than 6 7 years
Hey man, just received your email. Going through passionless periods of time when what used to make you happy doesn't anymore is absolutely crushing. Your identity seems to dissolve into nothingness. Putting on a front for the camera must be incredibly taxing too. I'm really glad you took the tough but right decision to walk away. I hope you get well soon again and find your flame again. I'm sure your wonderful wife and your cute kid help gain some perspective. Cheers Matt. See you again when you're ready.
Matt, we went to middle school and high school together (Kailey Ibsen). Your "no sugar for 30 days" video was just recommended to me by YT. Small world! Glad you're doing well.
Matt is the only youtuber i have been watching consistently for the past 6 years - the vids never tire - thank you for making these, helping me do better!
go you! i realized so much about working out and strength training was mental - it's your brain holding you back, not the body. you inspire me every day! (content and lifestyle now too!)
Great video Matt, i have been doing a program with a personal trainer since January, and its great to have someone, who tells you how to proper do a lift! Its my 2 time trying this, and my first time was horrible, the trainer was only doing it for fat money, so this time i was more sceptical, but i must admit, this dude have helped me to enjoy fitness! I have set a personal goal to be in the best shape of my life, before im turning 40! And its a fun goal to have! Not only to loose weight, but also gain muscle etc. i have an office job, and i was starting to have issues with my back, where the blood stream wasnt great between the shoulders, due to looking at a monitor for 8-12 hours a day, so it was either chiroprator or getting my ass of the chair and doing something for myself! I choose the last part! For now, im actually enjoying heading to the gym!
Why aren't you taking a new video. We are still waiting for it!!! Bro i was imitating to your speech to improve my speaking pronunciation for speaking like you. I finished watching your whole videos let's put videos again here pls
So you’re saying that, if I want to build a successful RU-vid channel, I should follow the program of an established RU-vidr and productivity expert? 🤔😂
Your last video inspired me to go from lifting 3x10 reps to 3x3, my body is actually growing the same or even better growth than before. I'm focused on gaining strength after seeing you double your benchpress in 100 days which I didn't know was even possible. Excited to watch this video now left my comment before even starting it lol!
@@Shvabicu Progressive loading, strength is what am training for now since bench has always been like 185ish and weigh 155. The weight is totally different to what was lifting before, focusing on compounds exercises and really just want strength these days
Hey Matt! I just gotta say, I can definitely see the old you coming back in these videos. Doing a lot of the things yourself is making the videos more personal, and less, corporate, if that is the right word. No hate, I just really, really love your work :)
ive been strength training for 24 years consisntelty now.. I still make progress yearly and am in almost every level of strength... also no serious injuries ever in all my years of training... so if you need a coach hit me up. I'm taking on clients.
*Be (Imperfectly) Consistent is my favorite one!* 💜 In the long run, it's better to improve 1% (almost) every day, than improve 3-5% every once in a while. 💪 Consistency doesn't need to be perfect for the power of compounding to shine! 📈
Tha gym! It's a place we can always come back to at ANY age, and still make progress! It might not be the same at every age, but you'll ALWAYS make some progress, and get healthier to hopefully live longer too!
FYI, I don't know if you know this but NBA player Jared McCain said your Journaling videos helped him a lot. So you could say you're videos played a role in getting someone in the NBA
6:48, I progressively overload my eating, and have been since I was born on this planet. This has caused me to do a permanent bulk, which I'll continue 😂
I would hope so!! LOL I started weight training at 30 and strongest at 54. Don't get caught up in chronological numbers Matt. Just keep at it consistently.
13:04, BE AWARE!!! This can lead to Eating Disorders! A lot of the bodybuilders in the bodybuilding community aren't open about their struggles, but it sure is a major problem for MANY! Stay safe!
I learned that going till failure only with proper technique is worth it , so machines are much better option to go faikure as the risk of injury is minimum.
This is so inspiring! I'm only 20, but it's really uplifting to know that I can look forward to the next 20 years as years of growth, not just mentally, but physically too!
Strong is free, at least a "lighter version" on android. You can't create more than 3 custom routunes and some other stuff but you still have the auto rest timer and previous workout stats. Great app, even with the free version!
Seems low your title implies that 36 is old and that you shouldn’t be strong at this age. Imo this is probably peak strength/age whether you’re training or not. So if you’re actually putting effort into training you should be powerful. I’m almost 48….still going pretty good but my energy level and strength in my 30’s seemed endless.
I must say your results from the 100 day experiment are extremely impressive, despite having one of the best trainers in the world. Huge respects! I know this journey is different for everyone, but could you share more in depth what you did? Training, nutrition, recovery etc.? That would be great!
If I am not mistaken, He mentioned in his last video about the specifics and in the captions below, he had a link to buy the course they created to prepare him for the competition
