Go to a community college instead of making it difficult on yourself. Apply to classes to high school. My local college allows you to start in your freshman year.

Good luck. Music is hell, haha. Best I can say is prep yourself with music theory, dictation, all that jazz.

Community college can be counted as high school courses. I would take them rather than high school courses. I plan on finishing my associate degree at 17 before transferring. It defiately saves a lot of money.

Actually some kids are smart enough to finish much younger, while others struggle to keep up. The current education system is set at how the average kid would progress at a standard classroom environment. It result in a situation where the dumb kids get left behind, while the smart kids are just there waiting for the other kids to catch up. When the primary and secondary schooling system was first introduced in ancient China (I didn't use to know this is a Chinese system) it was structure in a manner that allow kids to progress at their own speed. Like pre 20th century western Primary and secondary school, there was no grading system just a teacher teaching a class. But the difference between the two is that, in Asia, there was a standard exam that student must past to be able to move onto high school and then, after high school, a further test to allow them to move onto college. The west on the other hand, until the 20th century, able to get into college was more about having the right connections. When Japan first introduced compulsary educations system they set in place the year 1~12 system, base on an existing German system, this become the system we are familiar with today. However, this system still got its strength and weakness, with the dumb kids getting left behind and smart kids waiting for the dumb kids. The original system in ancient China, is not suitable for compulsary education. But, what it prove is that, some kids are able to progress much faster. It was not uncommon to see kids that graduated from high school and started college by the time they were 12 years old!

I could have graduated at 14 years old, but I decided to wait because some colleges allow you to take college courses for half price, which is why I have taken a mixture of classes at a 4 year school and community college.
