I don’t agree about everything Awkward believes in, but i came here to learn how to play Overwatch and God Damnit he’s the only one who REALLY helped me. I have the stats to prove it. Everyone just wants to hate on someone.

Awkward was never the villain in my eyes. He might be direct and firm in the way he believes he achieved success, but he’s never berating people who are working on themselves and trying to get better. He only flames those who are stuck and pretend it’s not their fault. I agree with awkward’s message on that. He made overwatch more fun to watch and play. I don’t feel the same about everything he does, but that’s to be expected. We’re not the same person. Every one flames on twitter, it’s an outlet for people. No one should be taking it too personally. Those people don’t know you.

Eskay and Flats are so pressed lol they need to relax 😂 Awkward is dope and his playstyle just gets results for so many people. I went up from bronze to plat support by focusing on game sense and damage. Every time I lose again it’s because their supports are getting more kills than ours are. In a game with one tank, if your supports don’t do damage and theirs do, then you’re just playing down 2 dps.

I find it interesting that SVB and KarQ, who are in the same friend circles as Flats and Eskay, have videos of Awkward coaching them. Both of which expressed that Awkward helped them become better players by giving them his method of play, "prioritize damage", "don't hold on to cool downs" etc. The switch up that happens in less than a year is insane.

It's actually crazy to see majority of the comunity against Awkward, while they don't even hear what he has to say. Instead, they only hear what other streamers say about Awkward, which means they hear what they want to hear. They think it's better to believe in what they want to believe (easiest path, coping, not self improving and self accountability) rather than step up and change (hard path)

As a recently turned 18 year old, first time playing overwatch, and a very “impressionable” teen I do not see how Awkward is giving me and others bad advice. I used his and only his videos to learn the few characters I know how to play such as bap, reaper, and soldier 76. I played rank for the first time and have an idea of what I should do DAMAGE I do that and I win, but when I played very obsessive with healing my tank or dps I would more than likely lose.

I totally understand why so many people dislike Awkward; I myself can't stand him as a 5'4 person. I followed his tips and somehow found myself jumping ranks without so much effort. Say what you want about him, but when it comes to winning and getting shit done - he isn't wrong. I'm not surprised people hire him as a coach, I'm only surprised his whole upper body is visible on Cam given his height.

People are so dumb fr. I got top 453 as Zen in less than half a year of grind after discovering Awkward lol. I am a former Master in Apex, Top 2300 EU in Valorant, 1700 ELO in Rocket League, Global in CS etc. So it does give me some advantage going into OW2. But I had no idea of how to conceptually play Support properly in this game and after balancing out my gameplay to do less healbotting I fucking went crazy in this game. All the comments from the intro made me laugh. Awkward is truly superior in his teachings of support and his videos are extremely educational and easy to understand.

I've been playing since OW1 2019 as support and only up until I watched Awkward's content then I realized as a support I can do more and be more proactive and enjoy more games... You can say whatever you want about Awkward as a human being and his believes. That man is a crazy good player and there is no one else even coming close to the skill that he puts onto such a wide portfolio of characters. That Twitter drama a few months ago was unnecessary and you behaved like a child, defending a stand that did not even needed defence since it was mostly subjective, but from a teaching standpoint you're one of the best out here. Others like Flats, Eskay and Co. are too comfy and try to cuddle with daddy Blizzard a lot, just to stay relevant and hype up every season, even though they got F*cked and betrayed for years by a multi-billion dollar company which doesn't care about them (eskay probably gets vehicled like crazy on pride month and used like advertisement space).

Everyone wants to make it complicated. Why not just damage damage damage, move forward when they move back, move back when they move forward, heal your team to stop them from dying. Its simple but its not easy. Went from Plat to Masters following these simple tips and grinding it into my gameplay over a few months.

people hate, everything he says may not be applicable in every match but most things he has said has helped me climb from silver all the way to masters in a few months. There's the proof in the pudding.

I used to be a bronze support and DPS player until I took the advice that Awkward gives about looking at your own faults and fixing your gameplay. How to work around a bad situation and how to position good. All that advice got me out of Bronze (Support 5 for DPS and Silver 1 for Support) and taught me how to play heroes such as Ball, Bap, Ana, and Kiri. I love the real advice he gives and with his U2GM is shows how to properly apply that info he talks about. That is the best way to teach someone something. Show what you're explaining. These other streamers don't raise a SINGLE BONE to the teachings of DAMAGE DAMAGE DAMAGE man! Awkward is Jesus to Overwatch!!
