Yeah that's weird. It's like she's standing diagonally lol. Not standing up or lying down. This is some gravity defying thrift buy knockoff analysis stuff.
This is true, and I’d like to add that just because the tag is no longer there, doesn’t mean fake but that someone simply ripped out the tag. I have tons of authentic lulu with no size dot and no tag. One thing to look for is the quality of stitching and matching/meeting of seams. I see this so much in fake Stride jackets. One more thing, tags that feel and look silky versus the ‘paper’ feel of real ones are definitely fake. I’ve seen so many hoodies at Value Village with these tags, and hoodies in patterns/prints that Lululemon never made. A true Lulu fanatic has learned all of these things. LULU fan since 2010.
Oh my goodness, this video was so helpful! I just started reselling and the same thing literally happened to me today! Hence, the reason I’m searching for videos. Same exact thing, went to the GW bins today and got beyond excited to find Lululemon. Thanks so much and I’m so happy I didn’t list my fake pants either!
Thanks for posting, great info! Enjoying your videos. I started reselling in October myself, quit my job in the financial industry and I'm loving it. Keep the videos coming.
That’s good to know but what about the Lululemon that don’t have pockets anywhere and no tag? How do we know if they are real or not? All my Lululemon stuff is from the Lululemon store but some of my leggings don’t have inside pockets.
Thank you for posting your video. Your video has been a big help and informative to me. I agree about the material feeling off. Shorts:: I noticed lululemon girls shorts have different zippers, stitching is smaller and stitch pattern is different. I just bought pre worn lulu on eBay in a same color I already own but in a different size, big difference in quality, the tag location , zipper and the rows of stitching on the inside of the shorts as well as the sewn in undergarment feels rough and sticks to the fake shorts. Received 2 shirts as well that I am pretty sure are not lulu. Sadly, I will not attempt to buy pre owned/worn lulu on eBay again. 😂
old post I get it....but remember, Lululemon has been in business since 1998 so unless you've owned and experience all their leggings since then, it's easy to say they're fake just because one is not familiar(or doesn't look right) with the logo. Logos have changed numerous times throughout the years. They're not always the same silver. Some were white. Some are colored, some are rubberized, some are foiled and some are metallic. Size dots have changed throughout the years. There were times when LLL didn't even use size dots. There were also years (between 2015 and mid 2016) that the size dots were known to fall off in the wash. I'm sure you're familiar with Lulufanatics and how to search using the style numbers....but even they do not have every style that's been released. I think one can't be too quick to say "they're fake" just because of the reasons you pointed out. Again, the shear number of legging styles produced since 1998 is unfathomable. I've owned nearly every style since 2014 so have familiarized myself with all the fabrics and styles...and of course, how all those styles compare to current styles. Yes there are fakes...but the fakes are a fraction of a percentage compared to how many styles LLL has released. Serious note...my LLL legging hoard/collection is well over 400 pairs and it's how I've familiarized myself with the brand, their fabrics, and all the intricate details. (not even going into how many leggings of other brands I have). Most people, these days, only have experience owning Aligns....maybe Wunder Trains and Fast & Frees too. But that's it. So knowledge is very limited.
Thanks for this! However I really hope you reconsider just throwing them away, like even cut them into shorts instead so there's not fake logo but there's so much textile in landfills that people could use . Just a thought of how to donate them without giving people the idea that they are lululemon
Very helpful. I have one lululemon piece and it doesn't have size tag so maybe I have a fake. I think the fake pants you have are still wearable. Not everyone resells online and they are still wearable :)
I agree!! I really hate seeing anything that people can use just be thrown away! I'd say keep them for yourself or even like just cut the bottoms off so the logos gone or something lol
Thanks for the info!! I’ve thought about what your doing but I just can’t get past the fact people shop at good will and resale. The clothes at good will are for those from low income households……I dunno I’d feel like a piece of crap taking from them and making an income off them.
Thanks for posting this. It's really a struggle to identify knock offs sometimes because the obvious goal of these rats is to make the fakes just good enough that people not only buy them but feel ok with using them. I don't find a lot of Lulu around here. I mean, I've found zero. I suspect it's because south Louisiana is often a little behind the trend on fashion. I bet I'll start seeing it sold in a few years. LOL Anyway, with ebay's VeRO kicking up on fakes I appreciate seeing another fake comparison. Joe State did a video two weeks ago on fake True Religion jeans. Even THEY got pinched with a fake pair. So thanks. I've been selling for years and I appreciate these videos a lot.
Totally agree with seeannsave. yes people buy at thrift stores for themselves but you shouldn't support "knock offs" .glad to hear they were thrown away. just my 2 cents.
Sucks that you can't sell it but at least you found out prior to listing. I've never even heard of that brand. My daughter wants to try and sell her clothes on depop app. Have you ever done it? Just wanted your opinion on it. The good and the bad. I've never heard of it since I don't do any kind of reselling.
Ok so I have lulus from Plato’s closet and they have a mesh side from the knee down and it kinda widens into a triangle and they look like normals lulus other than that but I can’t find them anywhere and they are in the color black cherry I just don’t know what they are
I just ordered some off of ebay and I think I got scammed so I'm going to the store today and have someone look at them for me🤦🏽 they just dont feel right they are men shorts and I can't find the size dot
New subscriber. I do the same in Denver. It's addicting and I've been doing it full time for 3 years. I'm sure I will run into you at the bins one day. I typically go 3x/wk and spend 5 hours/day there. It's kinda gross but ya never know what they will be wheelin out. Good luck.
Thank you for this video! I just fell for the fake Lululemon as well as Marc Jacobs. Lessons learned. I had thought of throwing the crap in the trash and not redonate and after watching your video, I will definitely be destroying them and tossing them ✂️ 🗑 another reseller that I watch and follow calls this ‘tuition’ for the education on what not to buy and pay better attention.
LaverlyLove A lot of her videos are designed to help fellow resellers and share what she's learned through selling on eBay. I think this one was just intended to make people aware that they need to be careful of accidentally selling counterfeit merchandise (and how to tell if they might have picked up something inauthentic) because it's illegal and could get them into very big trouble! ☺
