I'm starting to learn Chinese and often feel confused about how to progress, but your methods are effective and simple enough to keep doing them consistently, so finding your channel has helped a lot. 2:30 - 2:37 killed me 😭😭😂😂 I never thought about writing by hand during reviewing vocab review! I definitely think it will help the radicals/parts of the character stick rather than me relying on context for recognition. Great tip! Can't wait for all yours' videos 😍

Hahahaa it’s drummed into my head now 😂 also yeah it definitely helps! Something about taking the time to reproduce each line by hand really helps me remember them instead of just memorising off flashcards or whatever!

So happy to see your new sharing on Chinese learning! Writing on iPad/tablet is such a good method. Mandarin Corner is indeed a wonderful channel to learn from. Thanks for mentioning me btw. I'm able to write the characters in "learn" mode! It just automatically recognised my Apple pencil, I didn't set it up, so think it should work for you too :)

How did you get comfortable with the tones and using them correctly? The tones are the main reason i stopped studying Mandarin, I just could not grasp them.

Honestly I still haven’t grasped them and I make mistakes allll the time, but also tones change sometimes depending on what comes first/after etc... 😂💀 but I find reading words out loud and listening to the audio of new words helps me a lot, I have to make sure that I’m learning the sound along with the meaning and character!
