Great Video, Thank you. I passed my HSK-4 in 2018, but as a researcher I donated myself to the PhD and finished it in 4 years with multiple publication. Be aware that if you take the test on a computer you won't be allowed to write any notes, at least if you're doing the "at home" test. Also, the software limits how far ahead you can see the answer options - usually within the current section and you can't skip forward or back between sections.

That depends, I'd say some 3 months of everyday practice, writing is the part that changes most from 5 to 6, at least for me, so I'd focus on that and do regular mock tests to boost other skills
