This is the same route that i took 2 years ago, but before i went into visual novels, i used anime and manga. I'd recommend them over Visual novels for the beginner stage. Good job getting to N3 in 4 months.
Thank you so much!! I actually tried to learn Japanese with anime, but I don't think it's suitable for me because, unlike visual novels, it made my head hurt after just a few minutes🥲So, I'm sticking to visual novels, mainly because I learn Japanese for the sake of reading them hahaha. But I think everyone's learning style is different. Btw thank you for your advice!🥰
@@HeartFluffXO No problem and good luck with your future learning goals. In my case, visual novels were pretty much the only thing that allowed me to get to the N1 level, but please do beware that if you ever take the N1, you'd need to do things like separate listening practice. VNs and otome wouldn't be as good for listening practice as something like RU-vid and practice tests. Regardless, good luck.
Even though I use translator apps like google lens to read the dialogue of most unlocalized otome games, I've slowly learned to recognize certain words and phrases through repetition on top of learning hiragana, katakana, and some kanji. Now, I can understand maybe 5-10% of the content on my own. It's not much, but I've made progress. I can't help but feel proud of myself when I'm able to read certain sentences or words without the translator.
I read that your native language is not English, did you take a similar path to learn it? I am using a translator to be able to write, sorry if there are any errors.
@@Mishellma oh its okay! I actually learn english since I was in elementary school but my speaking skill is not good enough (few years ago I suddenly realized that🤣 because I never practice my speaking skill) so thats why to practice that I use english as my main language here and ofc so I could communicate with viewers from around the world too💖
@@HeartFluffXO Ooh I see, It's great how you can talk here to communicate with your viewers 💗 my native language is Spanish and I want to learn English in the same way as Japanese, I mean by playing, but I don't know of games that have text and sound in English, do you know of any? Do you recommend any for that?
@@Mishellma oh i know some of them! You can play Life is Strange series, Jenny Leclue (if you want some mystery and gameplay) Little misfortune, Wayward strand, Lost words beyond the page (if you mainly just want story). All of them had voice acting or if you like RPG elements you can try octopath traveller, or bayonetta world of origins
Hellooo kak. Iyaa kak butuh proses jugaa tuh. Aku juga gak nyangka bisa N3 wkt itu, tidak ada ekspektasi juga🤧 kalau dari pengalamanku yg ada di video supaya bisa upgrade level, bisa coba pakai visual novel/anime/manga yang levelnya 1 tingkat di atas kitaa. Konsisten belajar 30 menit saja sehari. Semangatt yaaa. Nanti bakal worth it banget hasilnyaa!!☺
