How I'm Preparing for Oxford Interviews 🙈 (science!!) 

Watching this back makes me sound so well put together and prepared - HAHAHAHA how far from the truth!! In reality, you really can't prepare. I have NO idea what they'll ask or if they'll even look at my personal statement (in a way, I hope they don't!!). Regardless, I think interviews are a bit of a mental thing, and having gotten into the zone more with documentaries etc is about feeling more confident. We got thissssss ;) To my friends fortunate enough to have interviews... GOOD LUCK! Go smash it!! You have nothing to lose at all x x

Good luck Jade! I'm at Oxford rn and have had 2 interviews - you really CANNOT prepare haha, so don't worry if you don't feel ready. All the interviewers were super nice, just look forward to it :)

I feel like we're fairly different... you're a straight A student and I'm a mixed B-A student, I perhaps get, on the odd occasion, a B- to C on an essay if I'm feeling particularly non-studious, yet I feel myself rooting for you and hoping you achieve so highly in everything you tell us you're doing that I almost feel invested.. is that odd? I love Jade and her channel! She truly is a gem. I watch toons of other study channels but none of them is like hers. She and Ruby are two of my favorite ones. They are so different but still alike. Like Ruby's life is all about studying and she always studies, buy Jade is more chill (I hope you get what I'm saying). I legit can relate to Jade because I am doing biology too.. I did biology and chemistry but then I dropped chem because it just started getting really hard and I couldn't understand. Anyways the point of this comment was that I love how she is constantly coming up with new videos and ideas unlike some other channels that just film themselves studying for five hours and timelapse it.. she really puts so much thoughts, time and effort into her videos and I ADORE HER. (Sorry if I had some grammar mistakes because English isn't my first language but hey, I'm tryin') kisses from Bosnia 💜

Hi Jade, I hope your prep continues to go well. I can only speak for myself, but please know you have subscribers who just want to see you doing well and happy, no matter where you end up studying. You're a lot more prepared than I was for my Cambridge interviews a few years back (I panicked through the first interview and had given up by the second, but still managed to get an offer somehow) - just remember that even if it feels like it's going terribly, it's not the end of the world!

Did anyone else get an interview at your school? Im the only one who even applied let alone get an interview 😂 My teachers were so confused when I said I wanted to apply because nobody at my school ever does but they've been very supportive.

Good luck! I had my Cambridge interviews yesterday, and honestly there was no way I could’ve prepared haha. The questions weren’t related to my personal statement at all, and I sat down and they just went into asking me about the subject, there was nothing to put me at ease at the beginning or anything. But I came out alive, even if the two interviews were at complete opposite ends of the spectrum (the first one I honestly felt so stupid when I came out)!

I had an interview for Cambridge last year and I can tell you that it isn’t as scary as it is made out to be. Just be yourself and make sure you think out loud. I definitely found the mock interviews harder (likely because I knew the people interviewing me) and the interviewers were lovely. They want you to feel as welcome as possible. I’m more nervous and excited for you than I am for myself! I am far more creative and struggle with words and numbers. I am only a C grade student and struggle with dyslexia but I have just sent off my application for a range of university’s in London to study design for publishing😯

4 years ago I was in the same exact position as you- except it was an interview to study mathematics at cambridge lol. The day of the interview I got sick and was losing my voice progressively and I was coughing profusely however, the interviewers were exceptionally nice and they tolerated me-phlegm and all. I did my interview and exams and was admitted for the following year. You can do it too!! Best of luck!

I had exactly the same experience as you did during your first interview! I was really shocked and upset at the time but I'm so glad I did it because it gave me an idea of how much I need to know about what I've written in my personal statement. Also, interviewers will try to put you off on purpose, but it doesn't mean they think you're a bad candidate! I'm studying AS at the moment but I was considering the different universities to apply to and Oxbridge just seemed so far away and out of reach. OMG, I have an interview at The University of Cambridge for Medicine on Wednesday 6th December and I'm kinda excited yet so nervous for it. It is nice to see that we're on the same boat after been through the stress of UCAS and admissions tests that we're breaking through this journey.
