Excellent video! looks like you are getting a lot out of your NY adventure. Reminds me for when I lived on Long Island as a little kid. Loved the weather, Jones Beach, the Holland Tunnel, Statin Island ferry, the Hayden planetarium (where my aerospace dad gave lectures), Princeton University (where my dad also gave lectures on the upcoming space race back in the 1950's).

Full time New Yorker here! The winters here aren’t bad at all!! If anything the sun looks BRIGHTER cuz there are usually blue skies in the afternoon (despite the cold and snow) and then the white snow on the ground like reflects the light back up so it’s super bright! I remember being a kid and closing my eyes at the bus stop, and I’d just focus on the sunshine on my face and trick myself into thinking was in Cali or something. So def cold but bright and sunny!

I love how quickly you've adapted to NYC. The city is basically like a huge free gym with walking everywhere, running up subway stairs, etc... Those sunset skyline shots are amazing btw

The thing about NYC winter is that since you’re constantly going outside to go into the subway, you’re walking long periods of time outside then sweat so much in the subway

if you haven't tried Cava yet (it's like chipotle but mediterranean food) you have too! other reccs to try to do are: Beauty & Essex, Coffee Project (east village), Serafina (great italian food) and Oscar Wilde (Amazing tasting and cute drinks, very lively, try to make a resi if possible)

Your friend is right, New York is sunny throughout the winter (thought it's cold). I used to get sun tan just from poking my head out of my window during winter. April&May are actually the most cloudy and gray time of the year in nyc.

It's amazing how fast the time went by you seem like your having a great time in NYC. I find New York and yes Boston have a lot of history and classic style that makes them feel more real. You should get in touch with ether Louis Rossmann or Casey Neistat both have long histories in NYC.

NY weather will keep you on your toes for sure. NY has a really convenient water taxi too, you should try it.

If you come back to NYC in the snow, you have to go to Central Park. its magical in the snow. NY is magical at Christmas too

I lived in both places NY and LA , I was in involved with a huge show in NYC. That being said, NYC is crazy out of control expensive! I also find it very congested! I love visiting there and living short term. But there is nothing like LA! Don’t rent apartments in LA from Corp owned companies! Usually apartments you will see listed on those free rental flyers/books you see on your out of the grocery store! Pretty all apartments listed in those all across the country go for top dollar in any market! And the people they get to run those apartments as David Ramsey says are run by monkeys! My advice to anyone moving to a new place, do exactly what Shelby Is doing, Air BnB and look around, plus you can give yourself time to find something and not rush into a bad situation!
