That was really interesting. Thanks for sharing! To me Eurorack version of ZOIA started to make much more sense than the pedal. And this PolyEffects Hector, yo this is another level of game haha.
I've been thinking about nabbing a Novation Launch Control XL as a poor man's midi controller to make the Euroboro easier to work with once I have a patch dialed in (I don't have a Hector, yet, though that extra cv & midi through would be nice)
Any MIDI control paired to the Euroburo will really open it up. I also got the Tesseract Sweet16 as it sends CV and MIDI from the faders. That way I can keep everything 'in the case'
Hi there really liked the way to explain everything thanks for the video. I do have a question where did you get the CC numbers the Tukra? Many thanks Andrew
Tukra, that complex beast… With a controller you unlock so many creativity… I love it but sometimes is like a fucking criptex, I would kill for a v2 with some kind of screen…
I agree - it's super powerful but has so many buttons to press on the front you get lost easily. I wish there were more MIDI mappable commands (even just a track mute/unmute and LFO rate would be good)
@@SynthDad that’s why I love the simplicity of sequencers like Eloquencer that show all tracks easily on one screen that can be changed or saved in real time.
@@danielruizmunoz I've the Tesseract Sweet16 and it is really good! But if you need more than 16 controls (and you will for Hector and Tukra) then I recommend either the Faderfox MX12 or PC12 controllers. They really are the best out there right now
How do you find the latency on the Hector? I've heard it can reach 18ms or more. My reaction time is too sensitive for that. Also, your Hector patch seems pretty well populated. How is the cpu load handling it?
Latency is definitely an issue if you’re doing parallel processing. In this case the Hector is end-of-chain so latency doesn’t really get too noticeable. But there is definitely a lag between sending MIDI to it and hearing the response.
I’m not that familiar with expression pedals, but it is simple to use the Cexp In module under interfaces to take the value from the expression port and use it to modulate a parameter
So inspiring but the Tukra hieroglyphs make my head spin and would take me a year to learn. I prefer easier sequencers like Eloquencer and drum modules that let me quickly understand what is going on in real time. But if I had a year just to learn Tukra it would be a fun challenge.
I didn't demo it in this video as it was already getting long; the O_C is running Sequins as a sequencer into Twin Waves. I then send random CV into the scale-rotate option on the O_C so it quantises the notes differently, which creates a cool melodic progression. If you watch my full talk on the link in the description you'll see me demo that.
@@SynthDad it’s just such a faff and my short attention span brain can’t cope with it connecting CV cables appears to satisfy my dopamine levels for some reason though! Really enjoy you videos though and how other people approach modular. Please keep up the good work dad!
