Hey everyone! The Model Box returns! This videos focus is on the splendid red engine himself, James! This was another experience that took me for a RIDE, but one I'm excited again to share with you all! Enjoy this behind the scenes look on my OO gauge, season 3 inspired, James!

I love the approach you took on tackling you resin printed custom for James, your model looks really, really nice. One of my top favorites of yours so far. Excellent work, Brenden! I'm glad you got this done. I know things haven't been easy this year, but your resilience and patience are both definitely somethings I respect and admire. I was blown away seeing this model of James at Christian's house during the Busted Buffers reunion, and seeing him perform superbly was fantastic. I really love how well he can handle longer consists - a little weight goes a long way! BTW, I love how you edit your videos. It's snappy, cuts to the chase, and it's really hilarious. Really makes me want to go that route if I get to making model videos. Best wishes, man!

That’s why I use tamiya lacquer and there tape it’s a lifesaver! Drys quick too regardless absolutely great work !!!!

I’m working on Thomas and Edward right now. Already drilled the holes in Edwards’s boiler. Just gotta add the sanctions. Already have the piano wire. James is gonna be my next engine. I’m using the same spray paint for James. Just gotta purchase the body shell. Already started his tender by using a spare Edward tender. Thanx for uploading this video- very helpful 😊

Awh, thank you! He's definitely one im mostly proud of for sure 💙 Did I have any cgi faces in this? I don't remember, haha, BUT I got them from the CGi leaks that happened, I believe, last year?.. just modified them so they could have eye holes 😂

@@BrendenReis10 of course!! there was one or two i think, but theyre in the thomas build as well. do you have a place or source to get them? and is it easy to cut into them like that and it still look good? 😂 im just starting to truly get in to modeling and thomas modeling, so i just want to figure out where and how i can do all of these things that i see and love. im sorry if this is a bother!

For metals in the future you could try AK interactive TruMetal paints/pastes - they’re a waxy paint that you “buff” to bring out the shine

Amazing work! I am currently planning on rebuilding my Bachmann James into H0 (1:87 exactly) to fit my other models as it's weirdly taller than Flying Scotsman or a Duchess which isn't too nice to look at. Is there any advice for the possible rebuild you could give me? For instance on where to get his actual measurements to downsize into 1:87 as this is the main issue I stumbled across. Everything else is already planned out if I had the correct measurements to start from.

I absolutely love it! It looks so great. May I ask what brand of gloss coat you used? I use poppy red for my models too and would love for them to look as shiny as your James.

Thank you so much‼️ Oh! I used rustoleum glossy clear! Let that baby set for like 24 hours before I did anything new, hope this helps!
