Great job Chris! The front window trim has to be changed after about 10 years, even when it's a garage car. Maybe when living in a non-sunshine state a few years later. And most people had a windshield repair in the past so they get new trim also. My (German) e93 had a bad trim and was on its first windshield, and 12yo. I definitely going to buy these led bulbs. I was assuming the car would throw codes for every single led bulb on the rear.... Thanks for sharing! And all this isn't cheap, I know. But the next owner will have a lot of fun with this car, especially now the main gaskets are done, and the turbos are rebuilt!! Dutch regards, Nico.
Yeah LED's are the way to go, much more satisfying, and never have to change them again. Veritasium (the YT channel) made a video talking about why halogen bulbs are designed to last a short life span. After watching that, I'm definitely not buying another halo bulb again for life.
The cost breakdown would be very interesting to see! With the current used car shortage and price hikes, I don't believe you would have a hard time selling this car.
the cost breakdown along with the hours you spent wrenching and the going indy shop rate. im really curious how much money you saved doing the work yourself.
I would have, but wasn't sure how much value it would add to the car. Most people don't notice or care, from my experience with clients... But I'll definitely offer the service to the next buyer so if they want to come back and do it we will!
@@glenglene8473 No, they're a bit different for LCI tail lights. The outside brake lights use 1156 (you'll need 4 of these total), the inner trunk lights use T10 (2 of these total) and H21W (2 of these total). affiliate links below 1156 Error Free: amzn.to/3wSVes3 T10 Error Free: amzn.to/3cfKw6W H21W Error Free: amzn.to/3igt9GY
