How I made Soft&Spongy Uthappa | ಹಳ್ಳಿ ಶೈಲಿಯ ಕುಂಬಳ ಕಾಯಿ ಊತಪ್ಪ | Uthappa recipe | Uthappam recipe
Uttappa is a tasty breakfast recipe. It is nothing but a kind of dosa. Dosa is made by using dosa rice,urad dal and methi seeds. Some grated cucumber/ash gourd is also added to prevent dosa becoming hard. The speciality of this uttappa is, chopped veggies like tomatoes, onions, curry leaves, coriander leaves are added on the top of dosas while cooking them. It gives special taste to these uttappams. The dosa batter requires minimum 8 hours of fermentation to get holes so that dosa becomes soft.
Ingreedients:
Ash gourd 1/2
Urad dal 2 glasses
Dosa rice 1 seru
A fistful of methi seeds
Coriander leaves
Curry leaves
Onions 5
Tomatoes 5
Green chillies 4
Salt to taste
Ghee
