You asked - I made it for you :)
Thanks for watching! I hope I made it easy to watch because the process itself if pretty long and boring. It takes a lot of attention to the details.
If you want a special design for your watch, feel free to message me! We can discuss different ideas and create something really cool. And btw, this Koi fish dial and some others you can order on Mod4thai.com. Thank you for your support!

Great job! I've had some logos made for sterile dials and have been interested in the dial-making process. The issue I run into are limited dial designs, lack of texture, etc. Looking forward to more videos of your work!

man, I really like that dial... do you have templates that you follow for the watch so you know where the hands go, etc...? Also how do you secure it on the movement without the pegs on it if you create this off of a flat sheet of brass? And lastly do you know of a more affordable laser to use? I just looked up your laser and wooo doggy that's a hefty price tag.
@ShortBetter
@ShortBetter 2 дня назад
@97JoMiller So basically, the first time I measured it 1000 times, laser it and measure again until I make a perfect size. There is no need for the dial fit. It's easy to make 12 and 3 o'clock marks on the movement, and then I secure it by dial dots. Yes, I used 0.5mm brass sheets for this one. Affordable laser won't do many think you will want later😅 But for cutting 0.5mm brass + engraving, something like Fiber 30w will do well

Cool to see all the work that goes in to making one single dial. If you are looking for ideas on motives to use: I'm sure a large sea turtle and and also Vostok's Scuba dude would be popular.

That is such an amazing work!! Good job mate! What kind of laser do you use and how did you learn working with the software? I bought a 5W Laser 3 months ago but was not happy with the result and refunded it. And where do you buy the base material? BR Florian

I use fiber mopa m7 60w, it cuts everything like butter. I'm still learning. There is so much more I can possibly do with the laser, but not enough skill yet🥲 I bought all the materials from a local store. You can find those metal sheets on aliexpress as well

Hello, This is amazing work, congratulations and thank you for sharing. How many Watts is your laser ? What power do you think is needed to cut 0.5mm aluminium and brass ? I wonder if 20W is enough (output power)
@ShortBetter
@ShortBetter Месяц назад
@nicolasdeluz hi! Thanks 😊 I use Mopa m7 60w laser, it easily cuts brass 1mm. For 0.5, I think 20W might be enough 🤔 But again, I'm not an expert
@armarmo964

Great work, what you can do is buy 15,000 grit sand paper then 20k-60k micro film and then use sunshine bright clothe for your last pass, do all of this on a very smooth surface like grass if you polish with a electric motor you will ruin the detail.
