i love how your so confident to walk through the towns and the charity shops and talk into the camera, i struggle to talk to people on facetime without getting nervous
Thanks for the video and for sharing your knowledge. It looks like you are just walking round charity shops buying stuff. But in each shop you give out so much information about why you buy or how you avoid the pitfalls - must be about 20 pieces of information and all are so on point. Cheers.
Thank you so much for that! I’m not really into making these videos to show off, I personally think if share the information, I’ll end up learning more as I go along so I’m glad that is helping! Thank you again for supporting the channel.
Just made my first step last week to buy items and try my luck at this and I spent £40 on items sold £215 worth (not all my stuff) cost me £35 to send so a tidy profit it was your channel that gave me the courage to do it
Love your videos because I can’t remember the last time I went out bargain hunting due to health reasons. Thanks to you and your missis in Sheffield 👍🏻
The best UK seller I've seen on RU-vid since I've been looking on here. Pretty much the same as the other comments, very informative, great details and tips. Keep it up 👍
I have been thrifting for years and every now and then I might find something to resell but for the most part I just love to find pieces for my wardrobe! Super interesting learning how you make money this way and your extensive knowledge on brands! I guess this whole time I’ve always just skipped the mens section! I’d love more in depth how to videos and what brands to spot for! Super informative thank you for taking us shopping with you!! 😄
Chaddypete I am Muhammad in UK and I got introduced to you through George (retro seller / ur meeting at vintage sale). You are GREAT brv. Good info...All to the point...No waste of time. Keep up the good work. I have subscribed and will be watching your vids.
Another great video. Been out myself today and must admit i struggle to find one item to make money on. All charity shops seem to check and price up the good stuff or ebay it themselves.
The shops tend to know most items but there are always shops that don’t care and price low anyway as they know it’s free and its better to turn stock over, rather than try and get home run sales!
Nice finds! There always seems to be some good stuff in your locals! I'm in a smaller area so don't often find as much good stuff. I picked up a box of Vintage cameras so hoping there's some good stuff in there. And also found a Scotch&Soda blazer, wouldn't have known to pick it up if I didn't watch you videos 😂
Hi, Pete. thank you for your wonderful video. it has been really helpful. Do you ever make up any follow-up vidoes to show people what you have made from each item?
Cheers for watching! To be fair Charity Shops have always known about resellers, it’s the resellers job to always stay ahead of the game and find items that have been undervalued 🔥
@@Chaddypete yeah tbh I heard you say that and it does make sense as well as the hunt that bit more challenging. I’m fairly new to the charity shop thrifting but my missus has always loved a charity shop. You got a new member of ya YT Famalam now. 💯🤜🏼
Once again, great content. Just out of curiosity, how far do you travel to source from charity shops? I tend to only hunt from my local ones where my face has become too familiar
@@Worldboss1 tbh I personally only visit local ones but when out n about I sometimes venture into the unknown. I also agree that staff will become familiar quickly with a regular reseller and once they do it can result in not as many results. But as said in this video you have to look for those that have been missed! 🤜🏼
I used to work in a charity shop and most have a date system where they swop things with other shops. So if the date on it says 30.07.2023 thats the date they take the items off and new items from another shop show up. So, check the tags and then once you see the date go in the day after and you can find a whole host of new things.
Loving the videos. I've loved going round charity shops for years since I'm a bit of a collector in vintage toys and games and stuff. I've never thought to look at reselling clothes I'm too scared to take the risk since I don't know very much about fashion at all 😂
@@Chaddypete I just have no experience with many brands 😂 I've always worn either skateboard type companies, band merch or licenced stuff from George asda or something 😂
Levis are funny with their jeans, with modern ones, if they have a little label stitched into the inner waistband which says Levi’s premium then they are higher quality/ high street stock. Ones without are outlet stock :)
Enjoying your video's, just because I can't get out bargain hunting due to health issues. Thanks for taking me virtual shopping. God bless you and your family.
hey brother, thank you for sharing this. i have recently started reselling and these videos are really helping to show me what to look out for. thank you bro
Hello mate, I’m waiting to start trying to buy and sell, do you have any tips for buying stuff from charity shops? What to look for?, would be much appreciated for any tips
@@Chaddypete when you first went into actually looking in the shops did you just searched the clothing that looked like it could be worth something on eBay and just go from there?
Thank you for your videos, amazing value. I started to resell few months ago but focused on anything but not clothes (bought some few times). I started to learn from your videos what kind of brands to look for as it takes some time to know what to look for. Do you only buy clothes? Many thanks.
Loving that work space you got there mate. Very useful videos for me. As I only have charity shops to go at atm. So I learn something from every clip you upload! Just have to improve on my product photos next. Spent a small fortune on different light boxes. And none of them are very good. Cheers 👍
I’m paying for a spot in downtown la all of reselling clothes! Been doing it for almost 10 years now but with hard work and dedication it’s fersure a good way of making a living. Word of advice for others only get into this If you enjoy it.
I found some orlebar brown swimming trunks very much like that.. I think I paid £3.99. They sold within minutes for £45. . Great selling brand to look out for
Your videos help me boost my knowledge of clothes, I’m pretty good at most other things but Clothes not so much unless it’s an obvious good make or sports shirts etc
Damn. the shops in your patch look insane. There's a few good shops near me, but I have to travel far for the bigger ones. Latest personal use finds? A swatch watch for 8 quid - goes for 190 new. A next 2 seater sofa worth around 700+ new for £145.
Heya mate im Carl im from Norfolk im a fellow reseller but clothes isn’t really my bag as ive never really tried! More into retro toys and games! Haha gotta say thou first time ive come across your channel today and really enjoyed it so far well done! Gonna subscribe for sure
Hi thanks for your message! It’s a simple formula I use to quickly think of something is worth buying. Example, if I see something priced at 7.99, I multiply it by 5 then check to see if I could make that amount on the item, in this case it would around £40. It means I avoid buying just because it’s there and wasting money
Cool, You did Castle Gresley, Swadlincote, Burton Upon Trent, Tutbury, Hatton then where did you go after that @chaddypete ????. Did you have a good day lad.
just found your channel , i watch john luc from manchester we’re you from mate i’m manchester charity shops car boots etc doing ok, away at the minute with work sales have dropped due to listings dropping off was doing 10-20 a day everything seller part time getting £7,800 over 3 months so not bad at all for a new seller
@@Chaddypete thank you so much 😊 I think I’ve managed to track most of them down now. The Bernardo’s at Church Gresley threw me off and I never knew about the Mencap in Derby!
Sometimes I think charity shops can over price somethings. I get that they have to make money to send to the charity and money to keep the shop open. The one piece of advice i can give is if you go charity shopping round rich areas the items are things really good but expensive.
So many great deals where you are-in south London its hard to find anything good and if you're lucky to do so it'll be way over-priced to match ebay so no room for profit.
Probably shouldn't share this.. But if you find something you like and it's expensive, 9/10 times if you rip the price off and go ask the price you'll get it much cheaper.
I can't believe New Balance shoes are so popular here in England. Back home in America, they are like a mid brand that Wal Mart carries etc. ANYWAAAAAAY. Good video as always dude.
New Balance got big a few years ago all of a sudden. The ones I picked up are very popular but there’s some which really sought after! Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!
