Malawi we add chopped pumpkin leaves but with all the ingredients you added to your derere, we call it "therere" my moms language yao its called "linyororo " and in the northern part of malawi its called derere as well!
I have watched several videos of how to cook okra and most if not all used bicarb 1 teaspoon what is it for. I also did not know its slimy when cooked I thought its fried "poor me RSA 👍🤣
