I enjoyed this. I am just getting more heavily into collage and noticed I have the same situation - all colored papers and almost no neutrals m. I feel a play session coming on! Thank you!
Vielen Dank für die professionellen und menschlich angenehmen Tutorials. Ich habe schon viel profitiert und Sie haben eine sehr angenehme Stimme und erklären alles sehr gut. Bravo, weiter so
Lovely work! ❤ I'm lying is hospital watching your tutorials. So relaxing. Thanks for sharing.❤ My only small criticism is that you need to use more sheets of paper when you're brayering off so that the colours on those scrap sheets don't get all mixed together and the ink isn't wasted. Because you can utilise those scrap sheets.
I am enjoying your videos so much. I love Gelli printing, doing and watching, endless effects and possibilities. Just a tip, cheap white tissue paper from the $ store works much better to get the paint from the nooks and crannies, than copy paper, it can also be used as collage fodder. Thanks for another inspiring video!💕🇨🇦
I also use that. I was probably out of it that day. Also I recently purchased deli paper that I don't like too much but it picks up the paint in the crannies even better than the tissue. So at least I found a use for it.
I’m really enjoying your repetative , medative style. I learn by “doing” so it’s easy to get into the swing. It sinks in better for me. Thankyou, I’m enjoying your channel.
I have been working on improving that. Thanks for the kind way you mentioned the music. I have had truly bad comments about it on a few videos where I didn't notice the music was super loud in spots. If you notice on my newer posts I have turned the music down but it still adds ambiance. I'd love to get your feedback. Thanks for watching and for your comments.
Wonderful idea's. In the end you were talking aboy the scribble s and markers. I think you could use inks and sprays of ink to create interest too. Im enjoying the artform of printing using the gelli plates So fun
Do you mind telling me where you got that pack of stencils , you said they had lot in the pack , my name is Linda Bailey from Corpus Christi Texas , I love my black and white papers , I even like the grunge I even forgot sometimes I need a perfect pull , I just hate when I accidentally use to much paint , I watch you everyday ,I've seen them twice already , just love your work , be happy and smile at everyone you meet you never know what you did for that person.
You are too kind. Thanks for being a supportive follower. This has been a huge journey for me here on RU-vid. The recent growth has inspired me to keep it going and maybe even start a Patreon Channel. Still thinking that one through. Here is the link to the stencils: amzn.to/3BVNABC 😎
The print you made at about minute 21 and didn't like, the 'blurry' one, was my favorite! The second pull from the 'ball' stencil was my second favorite. Such a fun printing session 🙂
How do you gelli print on tissue paper? It seems like it would tear. I looked to see if you had a video with a demo, haven’t found one yet. I am new to your channel and love it. Keep up the awesome work!
I will do that soon. Most of the time I use the tissue to pick up the paint in the detailed areas of the stencils. But then they make nice collage paper. It can tear. You just have to be careful. I heard there is a wet strength tissue but here in the United States I haven't found it yet. I will share if I do.
I hear ya! Even here I think it's expensive. But I always go back to it. I shouldn't use it for gelli printing but I find it the easiest to work with. I tried Blick fluid acrylics and wasted my money. they don't work on a gelli plate. What paint do you use? 😎
@@SusanCliftonArtist I have a few different brands.... For the gelli plate I use a brand called Jo Sonja, and it's higher flow than most. I aslo use Liquitext, which is slightly thicker viscosity paint. Liquitext have a heavier bodied paint called A2 and it's DEFINITELY not as thick as Atelier heavy body, but it's worth it because that range, in Australia, has more colour options than the LIQUITEXT. Jo Sonja is a craft paint, but it's range is wide, colour wise. It's tricky trying to combine the different brands, but! I'm getting around that issue with different flow mediums. Thanks for your response 🙏
It's more or less the positive or negative of a design. If you cut a circle out of a square the circle you cut out is the mask and paper with a hole in it is your stencil. It's harder to explain than I thought.
Nice instruction, you have a great voice delivery but would love it more without music since it’s distracting in a tutorial and makes it harder to concentrate on what you are saying.
When I work, I go for bold colors. When I see others' neutral work, I always love it. But when I try to do neutrals myself, I'm never satisfied. Go figure.
Good idea about creating black and white images! Just a short comment - why Not drop the music? It doesn’t really add anything and def distracts from your lesson. Which is too bad really.
