your content is great and thats what its about at the end of the day. lots of people lose their focus and start overdoing the editing and effects at the expense of the content and it backfires on them. just keep being you and doing your thing.

I've just recently got back into doing videos early this year and I have waaaay less equipment, and I'm still happy with the outcome of my videos. Yours are definitely clearer than mine though.

Just found your videos today an been watching everything you have an I love it. Your detail work is amazing just makes me realize I need to detail my Camaro bad. Nothing better than a beautiful woman that loves cars an works on them keep up the good work.

Enjoyed watching that Sarah. Apart from your tripod, you seem to produce a good product with the equipment you have. Always remember "Content is King/Queen" when it comes to telling a story and you do a great job. Be well. btw..cheap stabilisers start wearing from the moment you start to use them, and become an ongoing nightmare of continually balancing them..... a Zhiyun gimbal stabiliser seems to be the go to device used by a lot of pros these days.

Editing video is a lot more involved and time consuming than most people realize. That Canon 70D has been on my wish list since the day it came out, and I still don’t have one. Keep up the good work.

Yep - this equipment puts mine to shame from the word go 😂😂😂 Definitely like Canon products though. Even my Vixia HF-R10 makes some great looking videos if I tweak w/it enough. And I’m still using Sony Movie Studio 10 Platinum. Gonna check out the version you listed though. And yes - ASMR is really weird. Thank you 😂😂😂
Hmmmm....??? When I first saw your videos. I got a vague memory you look familiar like some one I ran into while I was in the Army traveling around. Now I see you're in the Air Force. Maybe. It's just weird I got it before I knew you were in, but it matches the memory. If it was you. You were joking around with a group of us. If it is a real memory it would be between 07-14 and probably some place I was passing through on my way to somewhere. I have no idea though. Kyrgyzstan, Ft. Your Canon 70D can take an 'L' lens which are far superior lenses than the lens that you are using. I bought an EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens for my Canon 5D when I went to Japan around 5 years ago and it's a great all-round lens for taking some great shots - best purchase ever - not the widest of lenses at 24mm but you can zoom up to 105mm with no loss of quality. Great for your car meets, etc. I use this lens as my every day lens. I hope this helps :-)
your hair looks like the kitchen floors i picked out LOL. I tried 3 Evo gimbals for my gopro, they all failed, then again my gopro failed also and had to have it warrantied out within 2 weeks. the worse part? they replaced my new gopro with a refurbished older scratch-n-dent one, ugh.

Are you still on the Sony software? I had Sony Vegas but had trouble porting it to a new computer so I bought Pinnacle instead. OMG! What used to take 45 minutes to render with the Sony takes 5 with Pinnacle. Although I am back on the learning curve. Since the few videos I've done are music related, the audio is on ProTools and then I have to sync it up which can be fun.
When you said "whatever i'm filming has left, dried up or dead" I almost spit my coffee out. Sounded like something I'd say and it struck me funny as hell. Yep, i'm posting a bit late to this but i'm still catching up on some of your older vids. Well done, you make every video worth watching. Keep up the great work.
You’re off to a great start with the equipment that you have, and your channel is awesome! One suggestion, get some daylight balance 4foot shop lights for your garage. Home Depot or Costco usually have them for cheap. Probably 6 for the garage. The more light you have, the better the depth of field, the fewer focusing issues you have. You can’t have too much light. If you get too many shadows from them, just hang a thin white sheet over them. Instant light box! It’s fun watching your progress, each video gets better! Happy Holliday’s!
One more thing, look into a Manfrotto/ Bogan 3021 tripod with a fluid head. The fluid head makes for silky smooth pan and tilts, and the tripod is a good compromise between a portable and a heavy studio tripod. I’ve had mine for 25+years and it’s still being made.

Your editing work is excellent… I think. I had trouble getting comfortable with Pro Tools when I started , and honestly, I’m no faster now than I was then…. so I bought a 32 channel mixer and do it old school. Easier to grab a knob…. That’s what….. never mind. I hope you can get faster with it so you can get some you time. Don’t burn out….. like I did. Doubt u ever see this but if you do…. I love your work. Thanks.

Boy such a simple setup. It goes to Show you don't need much equipment to e creative. I've been editing producing for 30 years and you are very creative. And watching from 3 years till now 2021. You are very creative .
I'd be interested in how you do your time lapse. Is that with the GoPro or on the Canon 70Deez? Which camera do you mount on the windshield (suction cup mount)? Do you use a gimbal for your Canon 70D? Did I use up my question allotment yet?

Please don't feel sorry that you use pc, and don't wish for a mac those things are so overpriced...a pc is so much better and capable...you can always upgrade it with a few dollars and get plenty out of it, way better than mac in all ways...

I love all the work you put into your art. Here's a tip on tripods on the cheap. eBay and look for Linhoff. Mid century German craftsmanship. Some are a work of art. Most are so smooth you could use them as a fake fluid head. The second one is really two pieces by Lietz and it's the ball head "D" and the mini tripod. A lot of sellers have the two together for about $125. Small and really sturdy. I did panoramas with a full size Nikon and heavy lens, no problem. Check out my video Nikon Lenses in Dishwasher. Thought it would go viral.......up to 30 views now. Thanks for you high production standards.

Almost shouted out an AMEN! when you mentioned how many hours it takes to edit an average 10 minute video!... most ppl don't realize that. Anyway, just found you and subscribed. I use Adobe elements for my videos. Editing is the hardest part, I wish I was better at it. I also try to make my own music in Garage Band, it is not the greatest but at lest it is not copyrighted. I shoot with a GoPro and a gimbal.

Pretty good setup...cept for the tripod. I have one of those. As for gimbal.....go for one that will hold your smaller canon or even phone. They are a lot cheaper. DSLR gimbals are pretty expensive. I have Adobe but the subscription service is ridiculous for all the software that I never use but pay for. You can try HitFilm Express....it's free and can also do some really great vfx work. For basic editing like you do in your vids, the learning curve probably isn't that major....vfx will require time just like with Adobe. Thanks for showing the behind the scenes. Really enjoyed it!

I've had my channel for almost 7 years and I still can't bring myself to make any videos. Much of it is because I'm not very tech savvy and have no idea how to upload them, which is fucking embarrassing since I'm 34 and everyone in our generation knows how to do something. I also would never be able to figure out how to edit videos if I ever made them. I don't have the money for editing software anyway. Thank you for showing us how you do it. If you're still looking for a gimbal, the Zhiyun Crane V2 should be compatible with your main camera. It's pretty quick to setup, has long battery life, and takes very stable video. (Plus it won't asplode your bank account comparative to other brands.)
Interesting. Would have guest that you were using a GoPro most of the time... And if you truly arent using any gimble/stabilization you probably could also have had a successful career as a surgeon. Nice steady hands... respect. Oh and most important... keep the funny coming. I love it. And 43k followers in a years is extremely respectable.
Love this video! I've been wondering how you produced your awesome videos. You might consider doing a video showing us how you manage your time. I don't know how you manage to get everything done. As for PC vs. Mac: Stay with PC. Mac's are jerky when panning, and are annoying to watch. Your videos are nice and smooth, and have a very professional look to them. You amaze me! Keep up the good work. I discovered your videos a couple of months ago, and I've been catching up. I, too, am an Air Force veteran (1968-1972), and we never got backpacks. Yours look pretty rugged, but, you're right; a real camera bag would be a big help. You're awesome!
Hahaha, when you are not talking quickly or just moving parts, turning the wrenches, thats asmr. But in review of many of your videos, you are either informing or playing music over your possible asmr moments. And some may say, how can spraying water, buffing or such be asmr? It's all so loud. To those I only have to say, turn the volume down. Remember, when we were in our mother's womb, listening to her heartbeat, we were all in asmr mode. It's very natural to just let the ambient sounds of life lull us into our quiet space. Everything has it's light and dark side according to the maker and receiver or better said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Loud smiles to you and yours.
Hi Sarah, did you see that DJI is coming out with a new DSLR stabilizer? Called a Ronin S I think. Not quite out but should be awesome! We use a Mavic now and then - not as much as I'd like though. Your box lights look like they work. Light is like the hardest part... Really enjoy your videos! Franny

Not the big gangly thing they had before but like the Osmo :) iPhondo managed to get out of them that it should be under $1K which is still huge dough, but similar to other good gimbals. We'll see... Sure would be good for car B-roll though! Oh, if you get a drone you can use that too - hand held. No sound though... Somebody makes a handle for the Mavic to make it easier, but it films just fine.
