I would love see how many Yamaha THR10X were sold over the years because of Cam. He should have shares in that company. Brilliant playing and great explanation of his sound.
I did. It was $279 Canadian when I got mine and still love it and still discover new sounds... and zero latency with the Steinberg drivers. I still use Cuba's as well. Love your channel Cam.
Very nice, and very compact. I've been playing the same 2 Peter Diezel Herbert's model versions Mk1 and Mk2 in stereo since 2005. I can't live or play my guitars without my valves...
Man!! I so much appreciate this video. Your guitar tones are insane. They are really THAT GOOD! The one thing you didn't mention is: How do you sync your video (including the mic you use for talking) with your Cubase and guitar audio recording? If you can please elaborate on that, it will be very very helpful. Are you synching them AFTER recording by editing OR are you combining it all "live" so it all comes in sync without having to edit later? I'll MUCH appreciate it if you can explain that. Thanks!!
The mic I use for talking is connected directly to the camera so no syncing is required for my speech in editing. When filming, I press record on my camera and then my Cubase software. Once I have done that, I'll do one little scratch on the strings. That creates a spike in the audio waves on both the software recording and camera audio recording. All I do after is line up the two spikes on the timeline in my video editing software. As if by magic, audio and video are synced. Hope that helps. There's not a lot to it at all.

I am considering OBS Studio though where the video/audio are all done together. Do you have an opinion on whether that's easier or actually harder? Thanks again Cameron.
@@shalomshalom735 I'd never heard of OBS studio until you mentioned it. I'd prefer to have full control of everything in editing but that's just me. It all comes down to the video you want to create.
@@CameronCooper Yep, I hear you and I agree: anyone should use/do what works for them. I find the syncing difficult and annoying your 'spike' idea is actually quite interesting and I'll give it a try. OBS is a good product, used mainly for podcasts and lives streams, it may be a bit "too complicated" for this tho. I really don't know, that's why asked. Thanks again man. Your guitars are INSANE !!
Maybe have a good luthier install the inlays along the edge of the neck it's not hard to do and they can do it and look like it came out of the factory like that😎

I was waiting for this comment. It all comes down to the tunings I use and I change up my tunings a lot so I picked my favourites for each tuning pretty much. I am trying to lay off the fact that I own the GG's now.

Great, but the most important part of the gear needed for recording and video editing/streaming has been left out, as most guitarists do. What is the bare minimum PC needed? Obviously a Mac Studio is the ideal, but the price is beyond most people’s budget.
I use dated old PC that's not worth the mention, but you can see it clear as day in this video. It depends on the production demands of the content people want to make so I am not going to mention a computer that nobody can buy anymore. My videos don't require a lot of production but I've managed to get by with an ACER Swift 3 since 2018. But could use an upgrade in the near future.

Hey Cameron! I'm torn between a 5150 (mainly because of how much you like yours, and how in turn you've influenced my guitar playing) and a Kramer 84. Sadly none is available around me to try out. Have you tried the 84 and decided on the 5150?
I never bothered with the 84 because i tried the 5150. Much preferred that it had 2 pickups, a killswitch, a d tuna and a smaller less crazy headstock.

It all comes down to what I use my guitars for and their tunings. My Guthrie prototypes are both in standard and get played a lot whereas the Harley Benton is a full step down and therefore more useful for me currently. Price and sound means nothing.

It would be cool to learn some saxophone lines for the guitar but I probably wouldn't do a video on it. Although the band members are deceased, copyright rules still apply for 70 years after their death.
