Just wanted to thank you for your videos and the information you share. Your last few lines in this video really hit me hard. I have started to let go of the idea that these are valuable things. They don't mean anything until they sell. And every day, I am trying to release myself from the prison of caring about these things. I am making more sales because of this new thought process and I'm grateful. Truly appreciate you and your viewpoint.
Thank you for the behind the scenes. I'm going thru my store and looking for items to mark down. I have a permanent coupon running until the end of the year and I'm always amazed when people buy something without using it since it pops up during the buying process. I haven't tried a huge markdown for old inventory like you are doing, but I should just to clear it out and make some if not a little profit. Just doing it part time though.

Question why don’t you just use the filter on the top to make it easier for you when doing your date base? Example on top you can sort the date like see only items that have been 100 days so it eliminates the newer stuff?
Yumbo how many items would you say you sourced from the bins versus regular thrift on a monthly basis? Regular thrift in my area is getting pretty expensive.
Yumbo quick question, do you use promoted listings? If so, do you use the suggested rate or a higher percentage? Also, would you suggest 100% promoted listings on everything? Thanks!

If your serious about reselling then yeah. Which one you pick depends on how much you will be listing and your store size. You have to calculate out which store will be cheapest for you. I use the 75 dollar per month one. Each one gives you a certain amount of listings per month. You also gotta remember that each of your items gets automatically relisted every 30 days and eBay charges you ten cents (I think it’s ten cents or maybe even 25 cents). I’ve always had a store so I don’t remember. Those relisted items count towards your monthly listings and you get charged extra if you go over……. That was a terrible explanation. Just do some research.
Hi..since I watched this i am marking down prices about 75% but one by one on my phone. I still should take offers right if the goal is to get the items out of my store? And do you promote the marked down items too? Some things I've had a year. Thanks for all the information!
Yeah the goal when I do it is to get rid of it, get some cash flow to go buy better items, and to get multi-quantity orders. I accept offers in the stuff, and most the time they’re reasonable. Some lady just offered me 6 dollars on a 7 dollar shirt. If she would have offered 3, I would have taken that too. I believe it increases traffic to your non discounted items as well. Sales are just a percentage of your traffic. Increase the traffic, increase the sales.

Even with 75% off, do you still get people making offers on that huge markdown price? I tried a big sale like this too and got ridiculous offers on top of my sale And was so annoyed by it haha! My cost of goods is higher than yours is generally though, so maybe that’s my problem.

What affects the impressions on Ebay. I see you have over 9mill. impressions with 1600 active listings. I have 1100 listings and 930.000 impressions??? Pretty depressing... as my sales are currently...one good day followed by 3 very bad days.
@@bigyumbo does that mean you were reselling before COVID? I started after and can't imagine what everything shut down and not being able to list would do to my store.
10:41 So someone can use your 20% off coupon on your 75% off sale? That would be 95% off or 30 cents for your $5.99 items. Also, I am surprised you have to discount so many items a month as you seem to pretty religiously check the sell-through rate or know it in your head. Can you tell I'm upset? 🤣
I was waiting for this comment. It’s not 95% off after the coupon, it’s 80% off. Let’s say you have a 100 dollar item and it sells for 75% off. Now it’s 25 dollars, right? An additional 20% off coupon brings it down to 20 dollars. The item was originally priced at 100 dollars and now it’s 20 dollars, so we have an 80% discount.
@Jon Watral If I listed an item for 5.99, it’s because it was a bad item. I want all of the items gone. The point isn’t to profit off of the 75% off orders. They’re loss leaders. They drive traffic to your store people buy multiple items. You get rid of the junk. Your conversion rate increase and eBay ranks you higher. Those items already went through a 10% sale, a 15% sale, a 30% sale, a 50% sale. It’s trash. Get rid of it. Every multibillion dollar retailer has a clearance section. But resellers are so delusional, they think they’re above it.
