That’s really nice! there’s an episode where Ted tells about every little decision we made in life and how that can change our lives forever. since I’ve watch this episode I never stopped thinking about that.

The reason I love that line so much is because at that moment, it feels like Ted’s story in NY and that group of friends was reaching an end. Yet little did he know that with that simple decision, his amazing life was just about to begin.

Kimmania Filipino Gamer technically the mother’s death was foreshadowed and planned from the beginning, and same with Barney and Robin’s divorce.

@@allisonsmith7235 not at all from the beginning, more like from season 8 or 7. Anyway planned or not the ending is so bad.. Why build all those situations, moments, decisions and feelings just to completely make them inconsequential for a few scenes in the end?..

@@ceps_________________________1 NONE of them were inconsequential. ALL of them led up to the ending. Robin had to marry someone else for Ted to let go. That was the only way he could ever BE with Tracy and be happy with her. Barney had to vow to Robin that he would always be honest with her in order to admit that their relationship was build on love but couldn't work because of Robin's career. He had to fall back into his old habits after that to get a girl pregnant and find out that his true happiness was in becoming the responsible father that he himself never had. The only woman who he could ever love unconditionally and who would love him back just the same. Robin had to have the failed marriage with Barney to realize that she just can't have a working relationship when her job is the most important thing in her live. She had to realize that Ted was the one she truly wanted after all. Tracy had to let go of Max to be with Ted. Ted learned from her not to keep living in his stories after her death. He DID for six years though. Only by telling his kids the full story, was he able to become the good old romantic believer that he was in his 20s and 30s, let go of Tracy and move on. Only then, after all that happened, after Ted and Robin both had accomplished everything that wanted in life (career/kids), they were both ready to be together. It's a great ending.

abonny on paper it may sound great but the execution and the writing was terrible, why tease a wedding for 3 seasons and focus the whole season on this wedding only so it ends in a divorce 5 minutes later and offscreen like it wasn’t important? Why spent so much time convincing the audience that ted and robin didn’t work while Barney and robin do for like 4 seasons only to say in the last minutes “it was always ted and robin” when they had way more wrongs than rights, why spent a whole series teasing a character and how she is finally the one ted will truly love only to kill her offscreen without even a funeral and immediately jumps onto “it was always robin” it’s bad writing from almost every angle you look at it, if a series spent so much building up to certain moments then their closure should be adequate to how important the build up was ( one example is the avengers with thanos, they teased him for like 8 years and focused 2 movies on him because if that, it would’ve been pretty stupid if he died in the first 5 minutes of infinity war and then be like “it was always about Loki” )

@@hegluj6796 The wedding itself want the focus. The focus was that Ted met the mother AT this important wedding, and everything building up to the wedding was within those three seasons specifically.

I quite enjoy everything from the show except for his character. ugh. Imo his character settings was the worst of the five.
