I just want someone who looks at me how ur wife looks at u😂 u can tell she loves u by the way she looks at u wen u are talking u guys were meant to be 💙💓
Great video Sam! I used to be a street racer in the US, until I got in to trouble with the authorities so I ended up living with my estranged father in Japan to avoid a jail sentence. Once there, I learnt all about the sport of drifting. I took on a local champion in the scene, and fell in love with the mans girlfriend. I borrowed a car to race, but crashed it so had to work for a guy to repay him. Anyways, from there on the Yazuka got involved, and I had to race down a mountain but that's a whole other story.... ;)
I love it. This format seems so personal. Just a chill sit down listening to two of the most down to earth people on youtube. Keep it up you guy's are great!!!
@@SpaceRanger187 I live in Japan now and I'm drifting. Drifting isn't difficult, but finding grass roots events and competitions is difficult,. especially with the language barrier
I lived in Japan for 8 years. Learn Japanese or buy the ear piece they have. You can go to Up Garage and they have a list of all the events. There was a forum, but I cant remember the name of it. If anything post online asking for someone that will teach you Japanese and you teach them English or whatever language you speak. Someone will be down to hang out@@joechong8834
I first worked in Jakarta in 2011 then I went back to a bad time in Australia. Then in 2014 I moved to Singapore for a new job and met my wife at McDonald's. Now we have lived in the Philippines and currently in Malaysia and life is good. So to anyone that has a chance start a new life and dont get overcome by the better and safer night life/girls on tap do the right thing then all will be good. May js a legend the look in her eyes shows that she cares and loves you so much good work on getting a good one.
Yeah I had troubles but If you already have friends here before moving like he said it is a big bonus since they can help you with things you don't really understand.
I'm wanting to move to Japan eventually. I'm in the Military and I met my wife out there. Currently stationed in California but wanting to eventually get out and find a Government Job in Japan on base in Yokosuka. But currently the thought of getting out of the Military and leaving that sense of security and never having to worry about not getting paid is quite frightening. One day I'll take the leap. Thanks for the video Sam!
Make sure u complain about everything while your in. Knees, migraines, insomnia etc.You don't want to have to fight with the VA..If your going to stay in,need to buy a house there and rent it out That way u own a house when u get out and can sell it to buy another and never spend your money
man after 12 years I was forced out. Not by anyone, but by my own body. You never know what kinda twists and turns your life might take. Benefits are fine and dandy but ultimately, I still needed a job. that's where your resourcefulness and absolute resolve as a man comes into play! Don't worry about the comfort of uncle sam's teet. You don't need to be good at anything in particular to hone your skills at "getting good". That's what I learned in my rough year and some change since being out. And I'm doing pretty damn good now, who would have thought? My civilian job is 3x better than anything the military could have offered me in both freedom (especially freedom) and in lifestyle. All those hours of free love I used to loath spending in the military are given freely to my current career and there'd be no way I'd know it unless fate happened this way. Sometimes, you just gotta keep looking forward with no regrets!
Easiest way around the bank account issue, see if you can get an HSBC everyday global account in your home country, that way you can save in and spend Yen with no fees, until you qualify for a bank account in Japan.
tempted to do it, atm though just impossible lol. Under the right circumstances I could probably give it a try. Selling everything? ahaha yeah, good advice.
Car mechanic from East Europe here. Moving to Japan is very dependent on the country you're from. I wish to move to Japan but still seems a bit hard with my starting point. All we can do from here is 90 days tourist visa. Also how do you meet japanese people?
In December 2019 i had all my things packed and ready to go a house to rent etc...then covid...im still in Australia but i was over there last month and as Schwarzenegger says ..ill be back
Thanks for the advice on which banks are friendly to foreigners. Never would have even thought about that. Or the business side of things. Time to start making friends. Lol. Anyone from Japan want to be friends??
Do you wanna know how I moved away from Beverly Hills, already?! How do I get a maphia car there, bothering a friend with boring questions while he's still driving his Benz?! It went too far. I don't know. Namastè.
Nice chil video. I like hiw you're both uo close and personal with the chat. Wish you guys were home when i visited. (also, how is May's sister getting on ?) Love the outro , tell us more about that ?
Can I suggest you advertise your raw channel on your main channel. I watch most of your videos on the main chan and I never knew about raw until youtube suggested it to me. Or maybe you already have and I missed it 😂
I live in Western Australia and we learnt Japanese, and then we stopped and learnt Chinese, then we stopped that and learnt sin language, and now in highschool I learn how to read, write and talk I’m Japanese
I find it SO funny how people get on here and say im moving over and think they are just gonna come on over there and do everything they've done here over there and they find out its WAY DIFFERENT IN JAPAN !
When I grew up in Perth WA they taught Japanese and Italian. I work at two schools now as a gardener and have noticed that there big on teaching Indonesian now. Top 8 next round bro🤘
I lived in Zushi / Hayama for 9 years while I was in the Navy stationed at Yokosuka and Atsugi in the 90’s. I walked in to a store and created an NTT DOCOMO account for pagers that eventually turned into cell phones n the early 90’s. I had a home phone number and address at the time. I also had a Bank of Yokohama account that I used to take my USD pay converted to travelers checks from NFCU and then buy Yen to pay my monthly bills . Like you, Japanese women helped me setup the accounts. I miss the food and people so much. Thanks for the memories of the difficulties being a gaijin.
Dude, the part where you talk about speaking Japanese with slip ups... When I lived in Japan, I've said some crazy things on accident when I was making a joke or just trying to make conversation lol. I look Japanese (I'm Japanese American) so their response was a look of disgust or confusion haha.
You should do more on the raw channel with mayumi maybe go out and give us a slice of life from a couples perspective etc. You mentioned guitar also like give us a shred m8 nah? The TV production stuff and Australia stuff from before. I've managed to find snippets... a Christmas video taken in Mexico with santa and an AE86. Think it would be cool.
I came here 23 years ago and had no problem opening a bank account and getting a phone even without work. I think I got my phone at j-phone and my bank account I opened at Mitsui and JP post. Driver license was easy too. Had to take it from the beginnen here again because my license from home had expired. It took me 2 months. And only one try. But I must say, I heard horror stories from other foreigners here about taking the drivers tests. Just personally it was super easy!
Nailed all of it man. As an American working in Tokyo now, one thing I'd like to mention is that even though I had my company sort out my bank account is that American's still need to handle US taxes even living abroad. So if you make less than 100k, you don't have to pay double taxes. However it took nearly 2 months for me to get a bank account even with my company's help, and that delay also made it extremely inconvenient dealing with paying for my rent.
love the advice, saving for a holiday to Japan as I've always wanted to go, I love all the things I see from japan be it culture even down to mannerisms, trying to learn Japanese currently and making a mess of it but improving with time, also I'd like to say I enjoyed your outro with the anime style cars from your fleet, looking forward to more content from both your channels
5 minutes in and Im already like "damn, he had the best possible circumstances for making this dream come true" and I'm instantly reminded I have none of these luxuries. Awesome 😅
Love you guys .. so interesting on learning how life there in Japan is so different then the U.s . But still I like Japan even if I never saw that places yet. I'm in the philippines and I enjoy seeing you both and your beautiful baby. ❤️❤️❤️
My daughter and son still learn Japanese at school in Brisbane. They love it actually both got A's and look forward to it every lesson. My daughter loves Japan and wants to visit one day .
Working the snow season is the easiest way to work n live in Japan for sure. i applied for less than 10 jobs while in Australia and got afew interviews.
