After seeing ALL of the junk food containers & other regular garbage from under that bed & all over that rug....it's amazing that room didn't have any bedbugs or cockroaches living in all of that clutter & garbage!!!
First of all, I'm so glad to read, that the girl living in this room is feeling better and is overcoming her depression. It is a very dark place to be in. I'm also glad she and her mum reached out to you, seeing that some people might be too ashamed to do so. Asking for help can require a lot of courage in a time where people are expected to keep everything together on their own. But really, humans are not meant to fend for themselves, but to help out each other. And it makes me glad to see you do just that, reach out a hand where it is needed. Just one thing always baffles me watching videos like this, and that is the amount of stuff people own. Now, I'm not a minimalist either, so no, I'm not going to tell anyone to get rid of everything not strictly needed, but sometimes I get the feeling, we're focussing on the wrong things and that people would be better off if they stopped defining themselves and their success through what they own, and instead looked at what's truly important - their family and friends. As long as you've got a roof over your head, there is food on the table, and clothes on your back, your family sticks together, and you've got a couple of true friends who accept you for who you are, you are good. And actually more successful than the person in designer clothes driving the expensive car, who only has 'friends' because they're always setteling everyones tabs. Yes, we all like nice things, but one can have too much of a good thing. Having less stuff, makes one appreciate what one has all the more. - Sorry, I turned all philosophical there... P.S. Fantastic job!
I agree with what you said. When I see the amount of cosmetics, perfume and skin care, in these videos, they are thinking each one of these products are going to enhance their lives. In reality, all it is doing, is making other people rich and the person with all this "STUFF," poorer and having a more cluttered space, which then makes the person feel overwhelmed and stressed out and maybe even depressed.
If one's heart were bad no one would look at them the way a person gets looked at having depression, which is just as deadly. Yes, depression can be life threatening. Shocker 🙄 In my experience with depression, even one piece of trash can be overwhelming. Couple that with limited mobility and you have alot of concern. What I've noticed is that Barbie is non-judgmental and understand their plight. What a blessed angel 😇 she is. Getting overwhelmed with where to begin is a big thing for people fighting depression. If it's too much to handle, nothing gets even started. A clean slate is sometimes enough to get motivated to at least keep it clean and organized ❤
Go, Barbie, go! Kindness and compassion in action: that is part of what I think of as I watch you fast-motion sort, clean and organize. And such a wonderful assist to someone recovering from a depressive episode. God bless you.
I remember a time when my house was like this. It was a combination of post pardom depression and pain. For the life of me I don't think I could put a finger on why I couldn't clean up. Just felt totally overwhelmed. Feeling a lone.
Whoa! Well done! That was very satisfying. As a declutter I have strong opinions about the amount of stuff we have in our lives and how that tidal wave of things cannot be dealt with by an adult brain let alone a developing child or teenager's brain. All that aside, I think you did a good thing and I hope the young lady enjoys her space - and knows she deserves a nice tidy and calm space for herself.
I love this type of video. I feel so much better knowing I am not alone when it comes to dysfunctional rooms. I am not a fan of housework and love to watch those who are good at it and try to emulate the process. I hope this young person is gaining strength - i have battled depression and social anxiety all my life and it stinks! So glad I found your channel.
Thank you so much! This is the reason why I started to recording how I’m cleaning. I love to watch, I know how motivating these kind of videos. I’m glad if you like my channel ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I considered my self a minimalist. That being said, I find that when I only keep things that matter to me, I am much happier. Even though I am a minimalist, I still get a little messy, but the amazing thing is... I can do a quick clean up within a half hour and it looks good to go. I highly recommend that you view various videos of people practicing minimalism. It is truly a life changer.
This video speaks volumes about our culture of consumerism also you cant "buy" happiness. I really hope the young woman is on a path of getting her life in order. It would be so nice to get an update video from her, even if its just a talk over with views of her bedroom now. Barbie you really are doing a huge service for those in need.
Youre so right.. When I'm depressed my floor is trashed and when I finally can clean it the feeling of not having to walk thru trash is indescribable in a good way
Well done! It would be lovely to hear about how you work with this chaos without getting too overwhelmed. What steps you took, how you felt. The room feels shiny in the end!
I also help people declutter and organize. I assess first whether they are willing and able to purge things, because if there is more stuff than places to put it, we can't make it a manageable space. It looks like you were able to find a place for everything. Beautiful.
I had a lady I used to help clean. The best strategy for her was to throw the same kind of things in bags or boxes and bring them to her to decide what is keep and trash and then organize what was left after that. It sucked but it's the only way she would do it after a long depression spell of no cleaning.
❤️❤️❤️❤️ i have 2 other videos with same content 😍😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩🤩ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wwBEzLgJFW0.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-msoZ7cI3C1k.html
You did a wonderful job, Barbie! A lot of hard work! She won’t ever change her cleaning habits I bet, so I hope she keeps you and has you come in every month to do maintenance upkeep for her!
This kind of deep clean must be very difficult for the home owner to reach out and ask for help. Very vulnerable as a stranger is touching almost every single personal item they own. One could say they just got tired of the mess but I think when it was only half as bad as it was, they'd been tired of the mess before it reached this extreme. To seek help at this point seems like they are sincerely desiring to make some changes in their life. Maybe this clean and organization with your help, skills and non-judgment is the 1st hit of their reset button for a brighter future.
I wonder if it would be worth introducing a small list to do every day to the people who struggle with cleaning, even if it was just make the bed at first then add to the list. When I’m feeling down I tell myself just achieve one goal for the day and this usually inspires me to keep going.
When I'm uninspired to clean I just set a timer for 15 minutes, and I go like crazy to see how much I can accomplish. You'd be amazed what you can pick up, toss out, declutter, clean, and organize in 15 minutes.
Does the teenager appreciate the new start? We had to clean our rooms every Saturday morning before we were allowed to play or go outside. Weekly routine was taught to us...Still use it today.
This is what my room would have looked like when I was a teenager. The only difference is that I didn't have so much things and I wasn't allowed to take food to my room 😂 messy teenagers!
New subscriber here. I got on this video and looked on your sight to see what else you have and saw you clean for free to help others out…people like you amaze me and I’m in awe of you. I will be watching all the videos before this one and keep up with new ones. In a world of hate and criticism it’s nice to watch a person with such compassion helping others. Well done! Take care and be safe ❤
I'm in awe of how much rubbish came out from under that bed. It's been found the world's largest plastic collection isn't in the Pacific Ocean, it's under this girls bed.
Great job! Next time, it might be faster to just sort by clothes, trash, keep, donate and then put the keep on your bed and sort it instead of having to go this way and that around the room to put away each item…at least according to all the professional cleaning videos I have seen and personal experience. That seems to be the best method to get it done the quickest. Great job and great hussle!
Garbage on the floor can be because of an underlying psychological condition, like depression, where you just cannot bring yourself to care about cleaning when all you can do is focus on surviving today and hoping for a death tomorrow :(
You did such a great job, it’s kinda unbelievable that parents allow this child to do that to their house, I really don’t understand it, but thank goodness they can at least pay someone to do what their own kid, who they feed and provide everything, obviously refuses to do
As for me I don't allow them, they just don't care. I set rules but they break them all. At the end I'm the bad guy and they are the victims lolz. So, I am very tired, extremely exhausted. Plus I'm just a step mom, see I'm already a bad guy with just that title alone. The world painted a picture for step mothers as evil women, So, I do what I can as I know at the end I'm at fault. I'm getting smarter though, I'm going to let go of most of the stuffs...the ones I can't they are going into my garage or my storage room. I do what I do for the love I have for my Lord and savior, I'm not perfect but I'm trying.
They say this is a mental disorder that causes these types of issues. I feel sorry for Barbie working so hard to help somebody. I’d like to know if people will keep up with their place after she has shown them how to. In my experience in cleaning for someone, they don’t seem to appreciate it, and would not even consider trying to keep up with it themselves. I just don’t understand people.
I enjoyed this video so much! Think it was more satisfying than usual due to the amount of items of various sizes and categories? Just know I responded to it well. Thank you.
What if I find hard to understand about a lot of these places that you take care of, tend to have very nice things in what looks like lots of money to buy many things. I understand they have a problem but you doing this for free all the time it’s madness. Could you share with us this truly has helped these people and if you ever get a chance to check back with them
This would take most people 3 months to a year to clean. You are very good and hardworking person. Inspiring everyone to try to hope to do in 8 hours. Showing us all it can be done! Thank you for all you do and all you are... (even if it takes us longer, very inspired and healing!) ❤️!
I hope you will understand what I’m writing. I started with clothes. After with papers. I put body and makeup stuff in boxes. The most important thing is, don’t keep too much stuff. Only what you can put away. You have to decide about this stuff. You can send me pictures here: cleanwbarbie@gmail.com And than I can help you more
I can’t figure out why that particular family needed FREE cleaning……a lot of shopping has been done by that person, clearly just from the empty shopping bags. U got money to shop and buy expensive makeup, etc.- u can afford to hire someone. I worry about Barbie being taken advantage of because she is such a kind generous person😢
