How I pack carry-on ONLY for a 3 week WINTER trip! All UNDER 7kg! A realistic way to pack light. 

Sink washing is simple in Europe as most hotels have heated towel rails and your clothes dry overnight. I’ve even washed jeans this way. Most airlines flying to and from Australia (including Qantas and Emirates) allow you to bring a small purse/bag as well as your carryon bag - although this is not mentioned in their carryon requirements. However I have done it several times and it’s not a problem. I tend to pack my clothes in my carryon but keep my mini iPad, passport, wallet etc and my toiletries in this second small bag. It’s not a huge bag by any means but it makes all the difference. I pack slightly differently to you. I generally pack 3 tops, 3 bottoms, 3 light wool sweaters, 1 nice blouse for dinners out, leggings and top for working out and 3 pair of shoes. I also take a beanie, gloves, neck gait or and jacket. I fill my snow boots with socks and underwear, wrap them in plastic bags and place them in opposite corners of my bag, my other clothes get packed around the boots. I wear runners and take flats to wear to dinner in the hotel. They also double as slippers. I wear some of these clothes so manage to (just) stick within our very strict carryon bag weight requirements. My clothes are no fashion statement but they keep me warm and I can travel this way for 2-3 months. It’s boring getting dressed every day but the only person who knows I'm wearing the same things on repeat is my husband, who is also dressing in the same 11-12 items of clothing. It’s boring, but it works. The only other thing I would mention is fabric choice, as this has a huge impact on staying warm and dry in cold temperatures. I try to stick to Marino wool, cashmere or technical fabrics which are moisture wicking. It’s very important to me to wear warm, wool socks inside my boots. My feet would be really cold without good woolly socks. Good video and great packing. Happy travels!

I would only add a pair of flip flops as I’m grossed out by shower floors 😹 But they pack almost flat and weight almost nothing. Great tips thank you!
